Feburary 1964. The Ed Sullivan Show was very popular; all kinds of live acts. If you were a big star, you might be allowed to do a second number in the last half of the show. An English band that was unknown to much of America, did THREE songs in the first half of the show, and did another three songs in the second half. Unbelievable!

They were good but many later on we're better .the songs were simple rithmatic and had great hamonys but t.h.e. Beatles did not last that long

1964 war ich 15 und bin regelrecht in diese Musik hineingefallen, ja förmlich von ihr aufgefressen worden. Sicherlich gab es auch andere gute Bands damals, die Bech Boys, die Hollies, die Rolling Stones, um nur drei stellvertretend für viele zu nennen. Aber keine hat solch geniale Musikalität und Performance aufzuweisen, keine so zeitlos bis heute und vermutlich bis in die Ewigkeit Bestand, wie die Beatles. Ich bin überaus glücklich in diesem revolutionären Jahrzehnt, den 1960ern, groß und sozialisiert worden zu sein. In diesem Jahrzehnt und mit dieser großartigen Band .... den BEATLES ❤

I was a teenager during the hair bands in the 80's and early 90's, but the older I got, I went back to the Beatles. Hell, I even subscribed to Sirius XM just for the Beatles channel.
