I’ve been watching late night shows since the 70s, and after Carson retired, I slowly stopped watching late night shows…until this one. I really feel like this was the last gasp of late night. None of the other shows come close to the organized chaos of this show. When I got sober ten years ago, I’d watch the amazing monologue he did concerning Britney Spears, and his own battles with addiction, at least twice a day, most days more. It helped to know that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, even if I couldn’t quite see it yet. Better than Letterman ever was in my opinion.

craigs show was basically conans late night show with the silliness dialed up to x10, both share the same sense of humor, wish they worked together more.

The laughing is real. Craig often had tears in his eyes from laughing. None of the jokes were written, just Josh and Craig going with the flow

Oh m y gosh, 1314 *was* the Battle of Bannockburn. Craig Ferguson is my all-time favorite late-night host. No awkward segues. He would throw away the cards and follow his guest wherever the conversation went. It was awesome. Perhaps because he was on so late? I would 100% watch any show he did.

Craig Ferguson was the unparalleled legend of late-night television. In other talk shows, it often felt like the host was the only one laughing, with the audience either silent or supplemented by a laugh track. But with Craig, genuine laughter filled the studio, resonating with everyone present. His charisma and wit created an atmosphere where everyone, not just the host, was genuinely entertained. He is dearly missed.
