Amazing video! with great comparisons of the pros and cons of each handheld console. I am currently saving up for a Nintendo switch Oled as I really enjoy the games Nintendo has to offer but do plan on getting a steam deck in the later future for games that I have interest in playing that I cannot play on my ps4. The availability for mods, change in graphics, and being able to connect it to a bigger screen is definitely a plus for the steam deck. I am a casual gamer so that is why I'm getting a switch first (also since its budget friendly).

I'm a massive PC gamer...can't stand PS5 or Xbox and yet...I prefer the switch to the deck. Love Nintendo exclusives,WAY better battery life,easier to travel with,easier to hand off to my son etc. The deck? I'm just likely to grab my 2 in 1 thin and light that has equal or better specs anyways.

That’s so interesting! I feel like the choice really does come down to personal preferences to gaming, cuz yeah totally agree - sometimes I leave my steam deck untouched for months haha but other months I don’t touch my switch, it just depends what my lifestyle is like that month

Just a tip for the video, its very nice to have chapters in the video timeline so you can jump to sections that are relevant to a particular interest. Otherwise great informative video!

This is a really good list! I've even found a couple new games to play. The Gardens Between makes me think you'll enjoy Arise, A Simple Story. Its also a time manipulation puzzler. It is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, in reference to how the story and feelings are visualized and realized through the journey in the enviornments. Truly beautiful. Warning- also super sad at times

I loved this game, yet I found it creepy. Tho I’m Norwegian and hiking and the great outdoors being out in nature as well as animals is basically our cultural identity besides skiing and Norse culture/Vikings, I would not like being out in the American wilderness by my self. Norway is much safer so different story🤣🤣🤣

Hello! Yeah I think that it's still not super user friendly to get Discord calls on it, and considering how big Discord is for PC gaming, would have liked it if Valve had worked with them closely to have a much easier way to get the app on the console personally (also I'm sick of using Desktop mode lol it's so not user friendly). But again, Switch has nothing like this, at least Steam has great multiplayer support on it's own so it wins by a mile. And yeah Steam Deck customization is still wayyy harder than getting new joy cons, so I still stand by that one too tbh. But I agree in general, lots have changed since I made this video and I'm definitely playing my Steam Deck almost the same amount as my Switch nowadays!

Wait until you play the Lost Crown a Ghost Hunting Adventure. Its a point and click mystery with ghost hunting mechanics that takes place in cornwall. Such an incredible game, and we've been waiting for a sequel for forever, but hopefully itll be coming out soon! 🤞🏻 Also anything else from with Shadow Tor or Darkling Room.

I'm sorry but I don't understand this game at all 😩😩 I've played about five or six hours so far and I don't think I've accomplished anything other than it now takes 20 minutes to slog from one edge of the map to another. I don't think the game gave any warning that you get slower if you just keep collecting things (which I obviously did since to my eyes there was zero other stuff to do in this game), and now I don't have anywhere to put the stuff, no way to just drop them to wait for me - just wipe them out of existence. I don't have any concept of what will be useful so I'm too scared to discard anything. I don't understand what the "Alex wishes for..." stuff are because so far I haven't been able to give him a critter, nothing happened when I made a fish sing next to him... so confusing. I had to google to find out that you're supposed to tap trees - how the heck was I supposed to guess that?? I honestly feel quite disappointed and even watching the videos I still don't understand anything. Someone said that you could somehow use the weird combined stones in the old statue, but I can't even figure that out.

Also, the task "Explore all the garden" feels impossible: no indication on where you've been, how many plants you're missing or whatever the definition of done is. I just feel like this game does not want to help the player at all and if you don't magically have the knowledge you will end up by me, slowly crawling aimlessly around in circles, trying to figure out how the hell you can dispose safely of your 300 twigs.

Hey! Completely understand! Louis’ vision was really to create a game that feels like getting lost in the wilderness, so there’s purposefully not a lot of direction. Might not be for everyone, but personally I have enjoyed having to kind of explore and figure out as I go on! If you do encounter any bugs or want to leave feedback though, there is a discord that Louis is very active in and a wiki that we’re building collaboratively with the community ❤️

@@innnak1 You can store stuff in storage items! Chaska is probably you're best bet, they sell trunks and other storage items :) Also there was a new patch for Switch yesterday that adds stashes around the map, another way to store things early in the game!

I've just started to get into gaming and oxenfree was the first one I played by myself. It hit unexpectedly hard with the storyline of her brother. My brother passed away actually a month after the game came out and i used to really struggle with dreams where he was alive but in the dream i knew he was supposed to be dead. It feels so erie looking up that he was alive when it came out. In the end it was nice to have that expirence as i remember late nights helping my brother battle all the colusus in shadow of the collusus as a kid.

It’s a continuous game! So kind of like Animal Crossing, in that you could play every day for years and slowly build up your Garden :) This video is just Day 1! There are 28 days in a year in game (days are 24 real hours) - meant to be played for about 30 min a day ❤️

I say yes. It's why I love horror movies. The homes are gorgeous and creepy and like in Scream the town is beautiful. They have perfect lives until.... I love ghost stories especially. So looking for games with the same feel.
