A lot of you say Nick B. was a class act, but let me provide an example. You may have heard about this ......after the Raiders winning td in the " Sea of Hands" game, Nick was walking off the field when an idiot " fan " sucker punched him in the stomach. Several players , including Manny Fernandez) got hold of the fan and started beating the crap out of him. It was Nick B. who put a halt to the beat down and saved the man who had just assaulted him.

I was there. My friend watched on TV. He told me shula said horse shit on air lmao. The orange bowl was so loud that Jaworski kept calling time out cause we we so loud! It was deafening lol

That team over a 6 year period had the same record as the Steeler's team that won 4 SBs over 6 seasons. Had the WFL not gutted the team, they probably would have had 3 or 4 as well. If not for the sea of hands game, they would have had at least 3. It was so cool that he named all of his defensive team mates, he knows they put him in the position to be where he is.

dick enbergs voice and commentary was pure gold back in the days. Madden was the king of the NFC and Enberg rules the AFC. he made these afc games so exciting

Whether it was the dolphins or the hurricanes we still had the best home field ever. The reason why the play clock exists is because of the orange bowl. THERES A REASON WHY SOMEONE HAD IT TORN DOWN. Miami has a bad rap for a fan base but we are compassionate for sports. We are usually the rowdiest but no one seems to understand. Hurricanes still carry that 58-0 record at home and the dolphins are still the only team undefeated. Think about it

It took the Dolphins a long time to replace Marino. Most of the time they just got dudes and threw them in there to see who would stick.

They'll never replace Marino. IMO

His stats were absurd when contextualizing the time period of when he put them up and the overall style of the game during that time which was centered on the running game rsrher than the pass heavy league we have now. So to play in the era that he played and to have five seasons of 4,000+ yards and a 5,000 yard season is insane. Or having two seasons with thirty touchdowns at a time when by 1994 when he had his second 30 TD season, and his other two 40+ touchdown seasons, since 1943 excluding him a QB only threw for 30+ TDs 25 times in those prior 50 seasons. So I imagine modern day fans may look at his stat line and think it’s not that wild but in context of the times the production he had a the time he had it was simply next level. One has to wonder what his production woiosve been if he got to play in today’s league that’s so focused on passing.

I tell anyone looking at yesteryear to compare athletes to their peers. It's the most accurate way to judge if the sample size is large enough.

At the time (2005) Dan Marino WAS in fact, the greatest of All Time. Him & Montana. But since then, Brady, Manning, Favre, Brees, Big Ben & Rodgers have all passed his stats. Sorry Dan.

If the home field playoff schedule was based on record, no WAY are the '72 Dolphins playing on the road in the playoffs...the results would have been the same in all likelihood, though as that was the 17-0 season.

The irreplaceable Howard Cossell. Yeah, they brought in another guy but what a step down that was. Even drunk, Howard was better than Fran Tarkenton or the guys today. Madden was awesome but other than that, ... no bueno.

I’m glad Dan Marino earn his place in the HOF same with Steve Young. In my opinion, I think Dan Marino and Steve Young are the real GOATs because Dan Marino with the best throwing accuracy, and Steve Young with an outstanding running ability for a great passer QB. I’m glad both of them are in the HOF on the same day
