It's like floating in a pool of water. Each motion of the water reacting to your body reverberates the edges to and fro. You can sink deeper into that numb space. Let it overwhelm your senses and such. Really want to listen to this on repeat in a deprivation tank.😅😅

“Burn, the city is too bright.” This lyric and this song hit really hard for me in 2024 as someone on the spectrum who has to constantly deal with the extreme intensity and glare of LED headlights and fixtures above 3000 Kelvin color temperature that have been rapidly proliferating in recent years at a frightening rate and are creating so much light pollution. I’m in my mid-30s and was blown away by this album when it came out when I was 16; it still sounds utterly contemporary to this day. I actually discovered Hybrid while reading about Linkin Park’s legal dispute with this group since LP originally wanted to be called “Hybrid Theory” and thought to give them a listen.

This album was one out of a handful that laid the groundwork for what EDM has become today.

Here in 2024. This is a timeless piece of music, masterfully produced. I bought this album on vinyl waaaay back in 1999 and every track on it is pure brilliance. Hybrid have been a major influence on my own music.
