Why tf does the poison cloud sound like youre using some iron man glove to cast it or something? Absolutely terrible. Call it nostalgia all you want the original puts the new one to shame. Westernizing it meant making sound design so "good" that you break watermelons just for the sound of the blue dragon landing on the building in boletaria. I cant woth all the sounds its absolute fucking shit

I'm entirely convinced that half the complaints that prefer the original are because people tend to lean towards Original > Remakes. As someone who never played the original game when it came out, I like the Remastered more.

Ugh, they changed the character animations of the miracles for the sake of looking cool. If you look at the original, the character does a praying gesture cause it's part of Christianity, it's how they perform their miracles!

various souls games deserve remakes, for instance I think DS1 and DS2 deserves a remake, with focus on DS2 because they'll have to focus real hard to make that game good

I miss the old sound effects, but the new is still pretty good. Just very different feeling

I'll never stop saying this, but i love how our character grunts whenever they attack or cast magic. It makes you feel like you're playing as a living person who needs to really take a breath to do something with OOMPH.

I like the screams of the poison/acid/death cloud spells a lot more

This should be a case study on how to completely ruin unique and interesting art direction. Remake looks good but it’s downgraded into generic slop, basically lost everything that made the original memorable.

I like how they gave all the miracles unique casting animations.

I dont like that they changed the colors and made everything more colorful. I liked the sickly color of the og cursed weapon and the bright green poison cloud just looks way less grounded
