Good ole 747 my father was a Pan Am employee and our family enjoyed the priveleges and of course Love's Theme is my all time favorite i was 15 y.o. in 1973 when it came out 💯❤️

Listening to the string section melody, I can hear direct inspiration for the music in the 1990s Cathay Pacific ads. Specifically, when "there's a new world arriving" is sung therein. 💡🙂

I miss the many hours on a CX flights LHR to HKG then to TPE or Shanghai or Fukuoka and the occasional upgrade to business class (cheap company Panasonic only economy) loved the lounges in Hong Kong and the friendly staff

The moment I stepped on a Cathay plane I knew I was almost home. Great days, I flew as passenger in the 880, 707, L10/11, 747 and was privileged to be in the jump seat in Kai tak on landing. Those were the days.

I remember my "working abroad days" when I watch this video of Cathay Pacific planes taking off, cruising, and landing while listening to a great Barry White's Love theme music. Thank you, fond memories while flying Cathay Pacific.

This is still the theme song of Cathay Pacific which I know. In 1970s never afforded to fly but my mum occasionally taken me to Kai Tak airport at Kowloon City to spot these great aeroplanes😊

Memories of my time in Hongkong during the 80ies. Fantastic music and feeling after landing at Kai Tak.

I played in a band during college and this was the opening number for one of our concerts. And it was also the opening song for a midnight radio show hosted by the late great Uncle Ray in the 1970s. Fond memories of those days.

I flew Cathay Pacific 747-200 from Bahrain to Hongkong and Lockheed TRI star from HK to Manila in 1989. Best crew and service ever!

3:33 A340-600 in the early to mid-2000s is the only plane on the fleet to make JFK-HKG non-stop both ways. The first time I did hear Love's theme was in September 2001 2:40-2:50 B777-200 then my longest flight JFK-HKG December 17th 2005
