Especially appreciate you showing the lyrics with the chord placements. Very helpful. And singing along. Offering a few different strum patterns for the different song parts allows for personalizing the song by the student/player. And at intermediate level, those walk up and walk downs draw attention. I was at the Oregon coast last week watching the surf and this song popped into my head. Now it'll never leave! Thanks!

I appreciate the effort you put into these videos but please, for the love of God, stop trying to sing. Your voice is even worse than Dylan’s

Not to be picky because I am not that guy but on the up picks I think on the original the guitar player played the G string open on the way up. Not sure why though.

Thanks for the video. Would it be challenging for the singer to be in tune with a guitar in an odd turning?

That 2nd part the verse where the lick is on Am, I find it easier to upstroke the open A before the downstroke on the G. I know you mentioned that as the tough part, and I think it's easier because on the way back up from the G string you can just up stroke the A and be in a better place to hit the G. Great instruction and tabs. I found the trickiest part is some may miss is when you come from the end of the 2nd bar back to the first bar as it is different timing than from the end of the 1st to 2nd bar with quarter note on 4+ and next beat on 1+. The timing of the end of the 2nd bar back to the 1 beat goes from the 4+ (eight note) to the 1 , instead of the first bar going from 4+ to 1+ (quarter beat).

Bruce Langhorne played the finger picking melody. Not Dylan. Dylan just strums.

So great that you recognize John Hiatts. Been a fan since Bring the Family album. Seen him do this song on guitar, piano, and with a choir.
