David - I'm sorry I missed your great video here last month. What a great tribute and an excellent video! I love your thumb/finger strumming and picking you did! Have you done a video on that type of strumming/picking method? I prefer using my fingers over a pick...

So this was very helpful, but I still don't understand why people say "I'm playing in the key of G with a capo on the third fret" when it's actually the key of A#/Bb. It's just wrong to say it's the key of G, correct?

I never had to learn picking patterns ever, not once, for any song. It just comes naturally. To me, it's like rhythm. I just hear it in the song and can figure it out and follow it instantly. It's timing as well. The easiest way for me to figure out picking is to just listen to the song playing. The charts are confusing af to me, but if it help others, then that's cool too. Everyone learns differently.

Great info and explanation. I just found out my "Snark Super Tight Clip on" has that feature, and I can set it up between 415 and 466hz. I hope that's helpful for someone who has the same clip-on model.

Watching this was brilliant I learnt so much, I had not thought to watch the other guitarist to see what chords had been played. Some times the camera cuts away from who you are watching or you just can't Identify what's going on so that will be a big help for me, plus your whole process of mapping out made much more sense that what I had been taught in the past. Thank you, could you share what app you are using, Ta

I watched this video once and practiced a little bit with it the first time watching it. The second time watching it , I practiced it for about 1/2 with the video and I actually started hearing the song coming from my guitar. Great instruction. Thank you From: A Beginner with passion 😊✌️😎

would you be willing to tell me the name of the app you use to create the PDFs and annotation etc, Its dramatically better than any Ive seen. I have written so many songs that I have lost because the way Ive written out songs and cords is inferior, and Ive forgotten the tempo or finger style etc through the years. Love your Channel.

Thank you, David! ❤ I wrote down in my planner to practice this for at least 5 minutes before bed everyday and hopefully the more days I string together we’ll see if it gets more familiar and desire to practice longer increases. Last night was the first time. Tonight I did 10 minutes so that brings the total practice time for the song to 15 minutes so far! 🎉 I will keep you updated. This is one of my favorite songs. It’s very calming and full of hope when my dreams feel so far away even though I put daily efforts on them each day. 😅 PS. I like how you sing the song. ;-) (11/3/2024)
