Thanks David! This is going to help me add some zip while playing chords. Seeing the progression from Chord to Arpeggio to Pentatonic to Scale really hit home. This ties together all those shapes I have learned over the years. Great job.

Very timely David , I've been diving into CAGED in the last week. Very helpful, thanks

Excellent. I've gained a tremendous amount from your courses in a short time. If you don't already have it, I would love a one-page PDF that outlines the ideal learning path. I feel like I’m making good progress, but with so much information available-especially on KZbin-I sometimes worry about getting sidetracked or moving ahead too quickly. I'm like my Labrador chasing after squirrels!

David: you put those charts under Guthrie's video? Because I've never seen him put a chart up. That's why I don't get much from him, he's a great guitarist but he talks fast & puts no visuals up. I have to see it, I'm not good enough to just hear it. Edit, I watched & that's the first time I ever saw him put a visual aide up.

Not sure how I would use arpeggios. I know all of the triads. Please explain.

I have been hoping to find someone who can and will do a lesson on a Johnny Cash song The Song is Four Strong Winds

Try Guitar at Work or Ivor Sorefingers. Both good lessons on Ian Tyson's Four Strong Winds which is now identified by most as Neil Young song.
