Thank you so much for posting this. I didn't even know that existed. I was looking up another martial arts gym type system (not gonna mention names) and saw a Walmart ad for this. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I really wanna learn trapping/JKD but have no one to work out with. I'm also very heavy with a bad back and ankles so traditional classes wouldn't be much of an option. Is this sturdy? Well made? Do ya think it's possible to get some good cardio /weight loss with this?

I am about to purchase this item and I just want to say that you are looking dangerous with those techniques. It would suck to be on the receiving end. Ouch!

Thank you for the prompt reply Master Wong and Aaron. I'll take the collar bone setting, that was actually my plan but i miscalculated things with the base platform. I'll take off few inches at the bottom of the body, ill have a prof cut it straight and perfectly perpendicular. that's easier than replacing the platform, besides the platform is very nice, and it (actually the whole dummy) looks like a fine furniture. In the meantime, I can still practice with this tall-man dummy. Thank you very much again. Mabuhay kayo. that's a Philippine (Filipino) greeting (Mabuhay - long live; kayo - you in plural)

hello Master Wong, I have been watching your videos for sometime now. i appreciate you share the exercises and the dummy lessons. I had a local shop made my wooden dummy, got the measurement from the internet. it has parallel arms and a platform similar to what your are using in your lesson on-line videos thats allow the dummy move and twist a little. when i was making the dummy, i patterned the arms height from your videos. Now that the dummy is finished, it seems that they are a bit high. when I stand close to the dummy, the base of its arms are exactly above my shoulder (resting on my shoulder when without shoes) the tip of my shoulder bone. I'm 65 inches tall (165 cm). my question Master Wong, what is the height of the arms? it seems that I would be more comfortable if i lower the arms by two inches (or 1.5"). ill do this by cutting lower end of the dummy. please enlighten me on this. thank you, by the way, I'm from the Philippines, 54 years old, you dummy lessons is for fitness.

There are 2 main settings people use to measure the height of the dummies. When facing the dummy in your stance, the first group will measure the dummy arms to be collarbone level. The second will measure them to be at chest level (lower pectoral level). Sounds like you could lower yours some. - Aaron
