I never knew this existed. This movie popped out of nowhere to me but then again I am not familiar with the Rocky movies besides the first movie.

Life isn't videos and AI programs Life is talking and finding out the truth and not hiding behind this phone You said to come down so many times and I do but you have also said so many names I'm going in this blind only listening to what I been told by you saying you are me You see my dilemma You sound like Rachael you sound like many people but you can't come outside the house when you say come down so something ain't right You say you love me so I don't think you would be lying about where you are But if you were locked up or being held by someone you would be telling me through the videos every time I say something, you wouldn't let up if that were the problem I'm sure I know anyway and you know I have my own to deal with because you have been through a lot more than me It's like you are locked in a room somewhere with a computer and just listening and watching everything I'm doing and making videos and just working on what I'm watching and doing But I was feeling you ten times a day so how could you be doing everything unless you have help And you don't answer or talk to me through any live media or any comments It's like you have vanished and are watching down on me from above But if that happened, how come I feel you

The way he says “YOU’RE BETTER THAN THAT!” Is so convincing. It’s like the words may be hurtful but that’s because it hurts him more seeing someone who he loves and sees so much potential in, just give up on themselves Edit: also the way he says “I’m always gonna love no matter what” and comforts him at the end. It’s like he may have gone off on him. But he loves him and always will and doesn’t mind letting him know. That’s very important. Rocky may be fictional but he’s my role model. Not the boxing but his character, patience, the way he’s a dangerous strong man but is calm, kind, and peaceful. He’s the definition of a warrior in a garden

I’ve been watching this scene ever since I saw the movie in theatres with my father. I always wanted my father’s approval, for him to be proud of me and appreciate me. But I had to learn about his love language, it wasn’t affection, it was to be a provider for his family. I had resentments built up over the years. Eventually I had to accept the fact that I had bigger underlying issues, and that I am a compulsive gambler. I have hid my illness for 14 years, pretending “I’m fine” or “I’m okay.” I never accepted or surrendered that I was powerless over this. Until I went by my own will to GA and eventually an in patient program. It’s been almost 100 days of abstinence, my recovery is strong because this scene alone (I had it memorized over the years) kept me going. I needed to believe in myself that I am worthy, and stop blaming everyone else around me for my shortcomings. Thank you Sly. You gave me the mental, emotional and physical strength to overcome my addiction. I had too much pride and ego before to surrender that I’ve been defeated. I thought I was a weak person, but no, I am strong for admitting to myself and everyone else the exact nature of my wrongs. I needed to be honest with myself, open-minded and most importantly, have the willingness to change my life. ❤

This is the greatness of Stallone as a writer and as an actor! He may not be Deacaprio or Pacino as an actor and he may not be Scorcese or Kubrick as a writer. But for the roles he writes for and the character he plays there's no denying no one could do either like Sylvester Stallone did and does! He's a master motivator for people in life and he knows what it's like to be on the balls of his ass and rebound and he's telling us all his view on life and what makes a winner! This character and the message he sends us through Rocky is not only a great cinematic achievement but is a gift that Stallone gave us all while we were on earth!

Seriously, I think that's one of the most impactful scenes in cinema history. Without any doubt it changed lives, makes me cry everytime I watch it, that says a lot. I think though that it's not just great writing, Stallone's acting and beautiful music in the background, but also Milo Ventimiglia's acting. It's really impressive how he begins with accusing his dad, being hostile against him, and them during Rocky's speech, without saying a word, just using his facial expressions, it's so visible how his attitude changes. You can see it even just in his eyes, the anger being replaced by understanding and reflecting, maybe even guilt. Really, the scene is just perfect, everything about it.
