What an interesting thing. I’ve tried to watch a person teach this, and I still find it confusing because it’s hard to see what strings they’re striking or fingering. And hearing them say, strike the high E at the 15th fret, makes my head spin. But, this reveals all by using simple out-of-the-way, animations. Well done. I also like how early 80s the animations are. If the graphics were realistic, I’m afraid we’d end up with the same problem I had before not being able to tell exactly what strings they’re striking, or fingering.

Check out between the buried and me. Specifically the most recent album, Colors II. they aren't super mainstream but they are respected as the best modern progressive metal band, obviously heavier than dream theater, but the same level of not just raw technique but composition skill, genre bending, constantly changing time signatures and complex chords, Paul waggoner is amazing. His KZbin playthroughs and clinics are also amazing.
