Specifically the most recent album, Colors II. they aren't super mainstream but they are respected as the best modern progressive metal band, obviously heavier than dream theater, but the same level of not just raw technique but composition skill, genre bending, constantly changing time signatures and complex chords, Paul waggoner is amazing.
