Note how the anti-Merino detractors are bitter at the fact that Rice could be sidelined as soon as Merino and Odegaard gel together cause i dont see Arteta dropping Partey for Rice,not if were looking to play progressive football. The Rice bias kills me cause its mostly due to the price seeing thats how football is viewed in England unfortunately football is secondary hence they doubt Merino. Dont get me wrong Rice is nice but lacks what Merino has and vice versa

This guy is not being noticed because arsenal currently aren't playing well... But his passes, confidence and pressing are beautiful, he will be acknowledged when the team hits the right note. You all need to stop rating players based on shorts videos.... jurrient timber is actually worse than Zinchenko because at least Zinchenko can make a pass. jurrien timber cannot defend, and cannot make a cross or make a decent long pass.... he also has a very low footballing IQ... case and point, the Gordon pass to Isak headed goal was there for Chelsea all game.... . Madueke actually put in a cross from the same spot as Gordon, but the problem was that the receiver at the end was Fofana, and not a natural forward player, otherwise it was a goal too. Go watch highlights of both games against Newcastle and Arsenal, since you all rate players based on highlights, and you will realize that he has a tendency to drift into Zone 18, and leave his defensive assignment in Zone 15... I think he has a natural fear of getting skinned so he backs away and crowds the box for high percentage defense. Now if I can recognize this -- smarter game analysts in the rivals of your team can see this and so expect a lot of attacks, and crosses coming in from Timber's side.... he will be on the bench in the next few games, watch this space. If Arteta was any smarter he would play Lewis-Skelly in that position.... sure he is young, but he is actually a better defender than Timber and Zinchenko... he may get ocassionally beat by experience.... but I assure it won't be as worse as it's going to get with Timber in that position.

He has a good technical ability but his pace is a bit problem for the PL, that's why he didn't make it at Newcastle during his younger age. I guess he will play some part for arsenal but not much should be expected of him. An intense game, I will prefer jorginho to him anyday.

@TheKh65 My friend I guess you don't know footballer, jorginho is a proven PL player who helped us immensely last season. These are reasons Arteta keeps failing cuz he brings a new player in, and changes the entire formation and start benching people that drove the team well. Before the new player get adjusted, we have lost the league already. Jorginho is a very good ball passer and has the ability to break opponents attack with ease, Mikel Marino is slow closely watch his game and don't be fan by liking a person.

@humphreysam803 Look at compilations of Sterling between the ages of 22 and 27, He is streets ahead of Martinelli. Gabriel Martinelli may have already hit his peak. He's been PANTS for over 12 months straight now, and that's being generous. Sterling deserves a run of 3 or more games under Arteta before judgement. Wake up and smell the coffee... remember this message at the end of the season. Martinelli has minimal end product. Sell him and get some income to strengthen the squad in the summer.
