You clearly don’t watch the matches. His diagonals are class. Plus why do you expect him to play through balls when he is a 8 (6 sometimes). I have never seen Rodri make one yet he is claimed as World Class (which them both are).

You are exaggerating, but the pass bit has some truth to it. Rice is one dimensional on the ball. He makes long passes if he moves to the left so they can be diagonal to the right winger's feet. I haven't seen him do them balls through the middle to both wingers or to space ahead for the wingers to run into. Not seen many through passes during the first build up phases from Rice either
