There are more curves on this stretch also which will run slow, high number of narrow roads not a wider one making it worse traffic congestion and how will they run short loop trains in this U-grider track in-between there is divider from one track to another track like blue,green line there is a pocket metro track?

Because most of the workers are working on opening Porur to ponamalee nxt year. Secondly only 40% of workers are there ,has most of them got work in there hometown in north India metro rail contract. CMRL said most if the new workers are recruited and work will go in full pace from jan after rain.

One of the main reason okkiyam maadu was not clean till this year so water would flood all those areas .so work would take more thaan month to restart. But now the cleaned and made it ready,so no problem from now onwards.

@rideaway7825 yes, Hyderabad metro first introduced the spine and wing structure for elevated stations avoiding space to be taken up on the sides of the road. Chennai metro followed in Phase 1 extension. Now Chennai metro is creating more engineering marvels like the double decker viaduct on a single pillar. In fact, near a particular stretch, a cross over track is also going to be there. So, 5 tracks on a single pier. Although the Chennai metro did not have the support it has today at the start, it's now improving with more people shifting from cars and bikes. I am sure Phase 2 will rock in the future by setting an example to the entire country. Chennai metro is an expert in Multi Modal integration. They connected 2 railway termini, 1 bus terminus, airport using a single line and all the stations if you see, mostly will be located near a railway station or a bus stand. This helps the people for shifting from one mode to another. The same is being followed in Phase 2. St. Thomas Mount for instance, has 2 local train lines, 1 existing metro line. (One of the local train lines is built below the metro line. Now Phase 2 station is also coming up over there following the alignment of the local train. This is a great example which can be implemented as a multimodal hub.

That started only in june so it will take atleast end 2027. Mostly pillar and station work can complete by 2027. After that track work and other there so by 2028 middle it is possible.
