Great video. I have repaired Lantechs with the same problem too. In my case the machines used a proximity switch. It is important to choose the correct proximity switch since there are PNP and NPN types.

Hello from Australia. That is incorrect. With NO strap in the machine, you need to set the gap between the reverse rollers so that they bearly touch. Once strap is inside, the reversal works fine. Any harsher could mean premature seal before the strap is on the package. LS 5 is sensitive.

I'm having a issue atm on a Q300xt atm sane exact one you got. I just fixed the E stop it had this issue. When we turn it on atm the rollers for the pallet grip kick on instantly at max speed and I can't figure it out.

Since you just fixed the E-Stop wiring, I would check to see if a wire came off of the speed pot for the rollers. It may have come off when repairing the E-Stop.

@packagingtechnician so it's the rollar carriage wire A1 to the Sr3 board. We turn power on and it instantly starts up that motor before pressing any buttons and we have no display either.

does the reverse roller have any variable effect on feeding the strap. mines overfeeding and after a complete tear down. i have the newer cheaper aq-7

The RQ8 has separate Reverse and Feed rollers but the AQ7 uses the same roller. This first thing to do is check T2 on the control box. This is the Feed Timer. Turn it down until it short feeds and then start turning it back up until the strap reaches the home position. The second thing is you may have to adjust the reverse upper roller pressure. What I like to do is set the gap between the upper shaft spring and adjuster arm with a piece of strap as a feeler gauge. This will get you close and then you can adjust the pressure slightly more or less, depending on how hard it’s feeding.

good afternoon sir, I have a strapack jk-2 and we are unable to get it to reverse at all! in test mode, the machine will cycle through everything except the reverse/tensioning and yes it is still feeding forward. any thoughts? thank you.

I have a Strapack JK-5 and the forwarding is always about 1in to 5in short of the heating element. Do you know how to fix this issue?

The main problem with a JK-5 short feeding is the Reel Brake needs to be adjusted. I'm emailing you a pdf of the technical manual so look on pages 20 and 21. One adjustment is for "Old Style" and the other is for "New Style". See which one you have and adjust accordingly. If this doesn't work, there is a troubleshooting section in the back. Good Luck.

Will the machine continue to strap in the auto setting? Does the hose you are scraping cross the machine sensor?

To test the strapper like this, I jammed a piece of strap in the start button to keep it activated

@@ricks_garage Gotcha. Thank you for the reply, the company I work for runs the StraPack RQ-8LD. Our mechanic doesn't quite have it running smooth. It seems to not catch or miss or not complete a whole cycle fairly often. Been trying to troubleshoot with some success, we run 300-500 packages a day. What type of maintenance schedule would you recommend? And also could the straps being too light or too heavy affect the machines ability to complete the strapping cycle? Thank you again!

@@tylerpeterson5088 My first question is: When you say it does not catch, do you mean tat it does not weld and the strap pops off? There are 2 kinds of strap: a machine strap and a hand grade strap. You should run the machine strap. The hand grade strap is to thin and not recommended for a strapper. Maintenance schedule: I recommend blowing the strap dust every day. This will fix 90% of the problems. I also recommend changing the bearings once a year. I have a video coming soon that shows hot to do this.

Ay there, here's a long shoot. Have you ever encounter a turntable after it finish wrapping a pallet it won't stop at home? I checked the proximity switch turns on and it homes itself when there is no pallet? I ended up just swapping out the old prox switch and still nothing?

If your load is heavy, the momentum when it decels will carry it past the proximity switch. Look on the drive board and you'll see a pot for Decel. Adjust it so the turntable will slow down to a jog before it reaches the home position.

I have a bander that is not feeding up into the arch. What are some things to check? I have another one that I changes the knive heater with new and still I had to turn the vr2 up which is the length of time the knife stays in to weld the strap to get it to band. What are somethings I can check?

If your strap is not moving into the lefthand bandway, you may have a small piece of strap in the feed shooter that it's dragging on. I would start looking there first. For the strap not sealing, I would say to clean your heater blade, but you've replaced it with a new one. I would check to see where the temperature is set for the heater. Look on the Control Box and start at halfway.

So it appears that the knife is not going all the way in when melting the band causing it not to bad. There is melting marks on the side of the banding which leads me to believe it is hitting the side of the banding.

Issue on the first bander was it catching where the two plates meet under a wheel and the banding is coming up under wheel and either feeding above or hitting the plate in front of the wheel

@dannythompson560 make sure that where the strap is going into the machine, that the curl is pointing down. This is very important. If it's pointing up, this could be the reason for it hitting in the feed shooter.

Hi, My strapper will not reverse the strapping and tighten the strap around the box. Any suggestions how to fix ?

The first thing to check is reversing the strap manually. If you move the Forward/Reverse switch to reverse, does it look like it reverses properly?

Hey this is a great video! But I need some input. Im having some sealing issues with the heater, I know that when the tension is too high the seal snaps, what causes the heater to fail? I’ve even reset the table and it only worked for a few cycles.
