Hey this is a great video! But I need some input. Im having some sealing issues with the heater, I know that when the tension is too high the seal snaps, what causes the heater to fail? I’ve even reset the table and it only worked for a few cycles.

One of the main causes is the heater blade is dirty. Clean the strap residue off with a wire brush or some fine sand paper. Be sure to clean both sides. Good Luck

good afternoon sir, I have a strapack jk-2 and we are unable to get it to reverse at all! in test mode, the machine will cycle through everything except the reverse/tensioning and yes it is still feeding forward. any thoughts? thank you.

I have a Strapack JK-5 and the forwarding is always about 1in to 5in short of the heating element. Do you know how to fix this issue?

The main problem with a JK-5 short feeding is the Reel Brake needs to be adjusted. I'm emailing you a pdf of the technical manual so look on pages 20 and 21. One adjustment is for "Old Style" and the other is for "New Style". See which one you have and adjust accordingly. If this doesn't work, there is a troubleshooting section in the back. Good Luck.

The best thing you can do is order the correct control box from StraPack. Be sure to give them the model and serial number to get the correct part for your machine. thanks

Hi, My strapper will not reverse the strapping and tighten the strap around the box. Any suggestions how to fix ?

The first thing to check is reversing the strap manually. If you move the Forward/Reverse switch to reverse, does it look like it reverses properly?

I have a bander that is not feeding up into the arch. What are some things to check? I have another one that I changes the knive heater with new and still I had to turn the vr2 up which is the length of time the knife stays in to weld the strap to get it to band. What are somethings I can check?

If your strap is not moving into the lefthand bandway, you may have a small piece of strap in the feed shooter that it's dragging on. I would start looking there first. For the strap not sealing, I would say to clean your heater blade, but you've replaced it with a new one. I would check to see where the temperature is set for the heater. Look on the Control Box and start at halfway.

So it appears that the knife is not going all the way in when melting the band causing it not to bad. There is melting marks on the side of the banding which leads me to believe it is hitting the side of the banding.

Issue on the first bander was it catching where the two plates meet under a wheel and the banding is coming up under wheel and either feeding above or hitting the plate in front of the wheel

I have videos in slow mow on what is going on with the heater knife.

@dannythompson560 make sure that where the strap is going into the machine, that the curl is pointing down. This is very important. If it's pointing up, this could be the reason for it hitting in the feed shooter.
