is the auto gearbox still tight/smooth after those miles? every auto I have had has started to have problems at around that milage, but unfortunately that seems to be the only option for the sprinter (or any van) in North America. ....my hope is that maybe the gearbox is more robust than the typical auto, due to being meant for cargo.

I have an older 11 inch iPad Pro, and it does not fit - the inner pocket narrows too much at the bottom.

Agreed. You'll see in my follow-up short that it didn't work for me. I had tried the Wave 1 as well, and so returned it as soon as I confirmed it wouldn't work in the Texas heat. I'm installing a 12v split unit instead.

What climate are you in, and how insulated is your van? Here in Texas the Wave 2 wasn't effective for me and my Sprinter.

I picked up an LBT in Multicam Black a few years back when they had a pack & duffel combo. I found it didn't fit my frame comfortably. I think it was the length of the back panel, but I'm not 100% on that.

Not like a drybag, no. But the material doesn't absorb water, and it's been fine for me in a light rain.

For me yes. With camera gear and everyday accessories, I think it’d be difficult to overload it beyond the buckle capacity.

i was thinking of buying the Ulanzi Shoulder Bag as an EDC sling for a trip to japan instead of a bellroy 9L i dont have any camer gear, mainly because they are cheaper then 9l and 6l here in AUS, i have nintendo switch and was wondering if it would fit in the magnetic pocket in the bag ?

I prefer the Pilot 7L. The Ulanzi is fantastic for the price, but I think the Pilot is worth the higher cost.

@@stefanusadrian8398 very much so. I don't know the true volume, but I can stuff so much more into the Pilot than I can the Ulanzi or Bellroy. I think how the flap closes makes it operate more like a roll-top bag, unlike the zipper closures of the other two.

I love how it turned out for us, and my kids do too. So far no leaks, though we were warned for the first few seasons it's semi-permeable. Once the fabric is worn in it can be treated. Overall height for our 4x4 van is 8'5" at the top of the low-profile fan.

Did you choose the 30L purely for duel purpose as an EDC bag and travel bag? I'm around 5'9/5'10 and was wondering if it was too long. Albeit I am fine with backpacks that are 20 inches long. Edit: @ 10:45 Ahh I see so technically it rides like a taller 16.5 '' backpack for that extra space.

Exactly, and that was a major draw for me to this pack. The extra space rides tall and not low. One thing I'm trying to figure out is if I can modify it to add a detachable hip belt.

Hope you enjoy your bag, Mike. I have the 10L bag & love it. I do not have the new quick adjustable shoulder strap as my bag is older & the new upgraded strap was not availiable at that time. I believe Wotancraft bags & backpacks are very well designed & offer very good value for their price points. I am a fan of the add on components that can be attached to their bags.😊

I have one, and it does seem to mark easily. I like the form factor of the bag, but for airline travel, I think it lacks protection. Neither the bottom nor the sides are rigid enough. I was concerned about knocks from other bags when placed in the overhead lockers For an EDC, it is good-light and waterproof. The price is realistic, unlike the Wotancraft line.

I use to bring my ipad M1 with the magickeyboard when I am on travel working , I am not a content creator or digital artist, now I just take a keyboard and my samsung phone, usualy I ask the hotel did they have smart Tv, which most have and I use Samsung DEX for working

Nice! Just bought one from Camping World... like the idea of the side burner for when boiling water for coffee while cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast. Will be breaking it in with cooking burgers at home before taking it out on the trail.

I had a 10th gen iPad kzbin.infoUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . Felt it getting pretty slow at times even after doing a reset. So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

hey man just asking, like yourself where you have a mac, i have a chromebook aswell as an ipad which brings me to the question of why you would need a keyboard for you ipad as it almost implies it to be almost a laptop. i’ve recently been contemplating whether to get myself a keyboard for my ipad yet i can’t find quite the need. how do you use your laptop and ipad in terms of when your using the keyboard with it differently? thanks

So far I’m really enjoying it. We did burgers to help break it in, and they turned out great. I’m going to build a drawer for it in the van and make it a pullout kitchen.

I swap between the Smart Folio keyboard and Magic Keyboard depending on what I’m doing. The Smart Folio keyboard is very versatile switching between pencil for notes and keyboard for emails etc
