What is the earliest or more general rule as to when a vehicle, purely from a maintenance point - needs a carbon flush. What mileage are we looking at ? At present my vehicle is a Mazda 3 2018 manual petrol, with the mileage at 55 000 miles. Thank you.

With all the talk about torque converters on these escapes it baffles me how ford doesn’t put out a recall on this. Then again I’m not suprised.

You want to make it easier do not take the mount out nor the alternator just loosen the top 14 mm alternator bolt and remove the tensioner 8mm Allen socket you will be able to move the tensioner housing out of the way water pump will come out from bottom

The coolant fitting is leaking, you can see the stain on the bottom. Eco boost are terrible engines. I make a lot of money fixing the oil leaks, coolant leaks, blown turbos and rods and pistons. I’ll take the 5.0 any day.

Thank you, i know where to go next. I've seen too many other issues with the 6F35 but I never dealt with this code either and had a customer with a 19 escape come in today for the same concern. It also creeps backwards in neutral.

As an ex master outboard tech I must say you do great work!! I just had this exact job performed on my 2007 Tundra with 300K not 2 weeks ago. I was wondering why didn’t Toyota use some form of factory gasket on this application. Any thoughts? Thanks, and I wish you much success

HELLO! 2014 SENTRA / O2B1S1 = 2.25V //// O2B1S2= 0.28V ( ERRATIC WAVE- PATTERN) COULD IT BE A LOOSE GROUND WIRE ?? CAR RUNS GREAT! NEVERTHELESS, I NOTICED THAT ON COLD-START THE DASH TEMP. (CORRECTLY INDICATES) 76f, BUT THE ECT SHOWS 103f ON SCANNER (BEFORE MORNING STARTUP). IT STARTS IN CLOSED - LOOP. I READ THAT MY P0420 COULD POSSIBLY BE DUE TO A BAD ECT SENSOR; I CHANGED IT , BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. ARE THE VOLTAGES OK?? THE FUEL TRIMS ARE MOST OFTEN WITHIN THE -5 TO 0 % RANGE, WITH AN OCCASIONAL MOMENTARY -10 TO -13. I'M GETTING CODE P0420. I CHANGED THE AIR/FUEL SENSOR(O2B1S1) TO NO AVAIL. THE CAR RUNS GREAT, WHAT APPEARS TO BE THE PROBLEM?? THANK YOU VERY MUCH ? (I ALSO CHANGED THE PCV & CLEANED THE MAF, & CHECKED FOR LEAKS)

I'm buying a new F150 Lariat and was having a difficult time deciding between the 3 engine options. I really, really, really wanted the 3.5 Powerboost for its in-town mileage but ruled out the Powerboost because I intend to keep the truck for 10-15 years and don't want the hassle of messing with the hybrid battery or the hybrid system/electrical gremlins.... plus this option comes with a smaller fuel tank. I have also read a lot of mixed reviews about this engine option and I do not see that onboard generator working too well after bouncing around outside in the elements for 10+ years. Lol Today I just ruled out the 3.5 Ecoboost as well. The mileage between the 5.0 Coyote and the Ecoboost is only 1mpg less in both hwy and city driving for the 5.0. The only other positives for the Ecoboost is the low-end torque. The negatives for the 3.5 Ecoboost vs the 5.0 are; 1)There is no max-tow option (that means no larger brakes or beefier axles or 3.73 rear end) 2) The Ecoboost max's out with 355 gears in the rear diff vs 3.73's on the 5.0 (funny that it is an option on the Powerboost though) The 5.0 has a much less complicated system without 2 very expensive turbo's (which WILL need to be replaced at some point). My only gripes with the 5.0 are the cylinder deactivation and the auto start/stop...... and I'm sure someone already has some kind of programmer to get rid of these 2 items. For 100 ftlbs less torque.... the 5.0 more than makes up for it in other "truck stuff".

What about at the shifter? Ive teplace the trans bushing and its good to go but where the cable meets the shifter it keeps popping out of the rod?? Would this be considered part of the recall as well?? Thanks for the response in advance.
