Hi, I’m having an issue with mine and thought I’d share it here. The left signal light on the speedometer is always on. Any tips?

Make sure you hooked it up correctly. It sounds like you may have hooked it up to auxiliary power hence while it's always on

@@MotoMango Hey, thank you so much for the reply. It was actually as you said-I was able to fix it the same day I wrote the message. But unfortunately, something else happened. I have a bike, factory caffe racer but my speedometer died, the warning lights,neutral and lamps like check engine work but the clock, the speedometer, the time non of those things work Now I will try to fix the old speedometer but If I can’t I can buy a new one. But the problem with that is that the bike has 24000km and the new clock would show 0 or start from 0 either way it won’t pas tehnical inspection (that we in europe have once every year…I don’t know about other countries or continents)

Hey did you ever find the main culprit for this issue? I recently purchased a 1984 nighthawk 700s and it is having similar problems. It runs and idles great when first starting it, after about ten minutes (once everything gets warm) It dies on me and wont re-start. Additionally I have very little/weak spark when trying to restart the engine once its warm. I know its electrical just not sure which component. Any info helps thanks!
@MotoMango27 күн бұрын
For me it was the spark generator! I tested it after bike was warm and resistance was way off. Replaced it and boom! No more issues :)

My R6 started to stall at lights when it gets hot and usually you can start it back up and ride off but after a while it will stall and won’t start back up, some cases it will shut off and you have no power or dash lights. Changed stator, rectifier and battery and still hasn’t fixed the issue
@MotoMangoАй бұрын
When's the last time you checked your valves? Valves could be out of spec and too tight. This leads to loss of compression when the bike gets hot and the metal expands to make the clearances even tighter.
@MotoMangoАй бұрын
Check for spark when your bike dies. First thing you need to know to rule out a lot of stuff.

Same thing happen to me this week. The repair shop already replace the battery ,rectifier, fuel pump and fuel regulator. But when it get hot around 215°f it shut off

I have a spot for the bikes from 1980 - 1996, we all have a period of years that we loved the stuff we saw & connected with but I think the seats were actually big enough to sit two people unlike today's bikes? Some of them are barely big enough for one but thanks for the video.... I do like it & I think they can be found if you have the heart & pocketbook to bring it back to life? But I do love seeing them Puurrrring again. peace

Appreciate ya dude! Yeah, I love a ton of bikes from the 70s through the 90s. Different bikes in those eras I like for different reasons. I'll be restoring and building this bike into a neo retro sport bike style racing machine 😍😍👊👊🏁🏁

Mr. Moto Mango, I have not ridden since I had a CB 400 88-90 but I don't remember the year & my bike prior was a Kz1000. I got it in 82 but the bike was 2-3 yrs old & I was 20 yrs old when I got her. I'll tell you she sure seemed fast to me but nothing compared to today's bikes. IDKnow about you but I think you've got the artistic / mechanical abilities to take these bikes & easily make them into "Naked / Cafe" styled bikes & the gas tanks was slimmer back then. The CB400 I used to deliver pizzas & I could put 2 pizzas in a heat bag & carry a 6 pack of cokes from the front edge of the seat & laying up on top of the gas tank.... basically flat. Believe it or not that little honda had a lot of punch thru the low to mid range but Today..... I'm saving to buy a bike. Got $2800 & just saving best I can & saw your channel, I liked it so I'm here checking you out. I'll be waiting on your next installment so take your time & do it good. Thanks for the time & the videos.... peace & GB ALL

I've kinda leaning to a dual sport which I've got a list of 10-11 bikes from the 650L. KLR, Dr ; then Honda 450L & DRz400 moving onto the Rally version of the 300L, KLX300, so on down to the Honda 150L. I've dug into all the pricing & what I will need in MOD's for each bike & an idea of that mods cost(for the bike). So whatever I buy I'll have a good idea all the money I'll need post purchase to get the bike how I want it. Also, if I hit the used scene, knowing each bike & mods to them, I'll be better able to figure out a price & what it could save me? It also has taught me how to look at each bike for the mods added. Ohh, the little 150L >> She is the bike that I can almost buy outright & it'll be mine. It can't do the interstate roads in Texas where I am but she's lightweight & I can throw a Hitch Carrier on my truck. I don't know what I really need but I've come to the conclusion that if you took 10 guys, all wanting a bike & you put the bikes on my list & had a Drawing. Giving 1 bike to each person - I've come to know the bike won't matter - we will make the bike we get work for us. I've learned that this is true > no matter the bike I'm handed, it will do it for me & then you have a "Cultic" following of every bike made ; there's after market & the people to GiT-R-Done & so I know I'll be OK even if I grab the 150L. I like air cooled anyway & the Yamaha XT250(air cooled) I like that but lots of older bikes still were air cooled. Yes, I want a bike so bad but it'll come, it will happen & I'll be watching you. Never know what could happen. Thanks for all the work, I'll be watching. peace & GB ALL
