Hard pressed to call this a mountain - maybe it was a few Millenia ago. It’s a gorgeous climb - did it on the weekend and views are truly breathtaking!

Big congratulations! You went up via Mong La - Phortse and the High Scenic Trail, not the standard low Tengboche route. Few seconds at 0:30 gives you away... Too bad there is no footage from the exiting high trail, as you also had clear weather!

Is a porter or guide required for this EBC trek, as per the latest regulations, or may we do it without them -Solo?

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I believe you don't need a guide or porter though its highly recommended. I would suggest checking out an official Nepali website on what the requirements are. we went with Intrepid, who I highly recommend. Good luck!!!

Hi Bec & Daz. Great video guys. I love watching this adventure. The landscapes are out of this world. It’s a dream of mine to hike the trails around Everest. The elevations look challenging but so worth it. The morning view was priceless with all the clouds. I just stumbled across your channel while searching for interesting hikes. I've been through some bad airports in my travels, actually, are there any GOOD airports or are we just happy to be traveling somewhere fun! Long travel days are rough but worth it when you get to your vacation destination!

Cute puppy. Long travel days suck. Always worth it at the end though. Love exit rows!! Drinking always helps lol. You need that SpongeBob transition, "3 hours later..." 😂 I can tell you by watching this, as hectic as it may be, Melbourne is definitely not the worst airport. Cairo sucks, San Jose is better than it used to be. I remember when it didn't have AC throughout the whole. Also like to throw Ft Lauderdale in Miami as a candidate.

That's really a long travel day. We have been lucky in Qatar that we have the best airport here! Bad airports are such a turn off and tiring

Melbourne airport sucks. It's my home airport. its not the worst in the world by any stretch but its always being reconstructed in some way and there's little to recommend it. Security is what it is. Sydney is no better. I rarely have encountered security with even a vaguely friendly attitude in any Australian airport :(
