According to a follow-up study by Kareem El-Badry's team published on March 24, 2022 in MNRAS, V723 Monocerotis does not contain a black hole. It is an accreting binary system containing a red giant with an effective temperature of 3800-4000 K, ~22.5 to 25 Rs, very luminous (~173 Ls) and very low mass (~0.4 Ms) which stripped its companion yellow subgiant (Teff ~ 5800-5150 K, ~2.8 Ms, 8.3-9 Rs) of a large part of its mass which probably fills the Roche lobes, explaining the apparent deformation of the main star.

"Something much worse coming"??? Of course there is. Biden will "win" re-election. The world is doomed. It's not a coincidence that the fallout show came out this year. It is a heads up on how bad things are going to get. 90% of earths population will be gone by 1-01-25.

Just 1 thing, you forgot to add WW35 when we all band together in perfect unity to defend the planet from alien invasion and are triumphantly victorious.

We can't, and will never be able to go to most of Planets in our Solar System. We can send probes to Mercury and Venus but can never land there. We can go to Mars, but can only live in Domes. The absolute furthest we are ever going to get is maybe, maybe a moon of Jupiter. We also can't land on Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, or Uranus. We're never going to make it to Pluto.

If by colonize, they mean putting 50 people or less on a research station on Mars, yes, it's possible but barely (and still at great cost). But if you mean actually having a self-sustaining colony of 20,000 or more in 50 years...that is fantasy. Note that the video merely talks about the Falcon rockets, or the earth-mars orbital distances, and it doesn't actually say anything remotely meaningful about how mars colonisation can be carried out and the scale of it. It also conveniently left out the names of those prominent scientists who claim that this is possible. It is good of EM to promote this vision, but it will not happen in our lifetime. Give it about 150 to 200 years and maybe it is more believable.

Excellent presentation, sobering yet reveals the limitations of man and the near infinite universe God created. God has revealed his eternal power and put eternity in our hearts. Man can and will try intergalactic travel but will never make it. When the Lord returns our reality will change and then we will be able to discover things we cannot know currently.

Elite Dangerous has the most scientifically accurate representation of Alpha Centauri system out of any game by far, and in it its stated that Proxima B is uninhabitable, in fact all planets in the system are.
