I have been a fan of Walt Disney (the creator and the old studio) since my childhood in Nigeria and I absolutely love watching these documentaries🤩🤩Seeing the creativity and love/dedication to art and entertainment from them, even as far back as the 1930s, is simply amazing! I may not care much for modern disney but old disney will always have a special place in my heart.

Here in 2024. So much has changed. Reading comments from 10+ years ago makes me giggle. The hat is now gone but so too are almost all of the original attractions. Thank you for bringing the Hollywood that never was and always will be back to life!

I got to “ride” this before it closed with my family but it was before I could remember things. We only went on this once because it scared my little brother, and then we never went on it. I miss the fact that it’s gone and I don’t even remember going on it.

I think in today's world when people say Disney is crap, they mean Disney the company. Disney the man was a true Genius and innovative man who was a real dreamer and doer. I don't believe the anti semitic rumors or rumors that he was a "bad man", he had his demons sure (smoked and drank alcohol behind closed doors) but who doesn't have demons? Walt Disney was a legend.

Its hard to believe that Disney MGM studios opened literally the same year The Little Mermaid came out! And the fact they're 35 years old is shocking! So all in all I could say they kicked off the Disney Renaissance lol!

I'm glad I got to experience all this in the early '90s. It's such a different park now.

Meanwhile in Cambodia, children are dying by either starvation, sickness, or even fighting in the war. Just saying this because while everyone in the world were having normal and happy lives, the Cambodians were living in hell under Pol Pot

Thank you for this upload! I've been looking for this video for a long time--I was there on Grand Opening Day, and appear as one of the international press corp, walking backwards up Hollywood Boulevard taking photos of Bob Hope, Mickey and Minnie, Michael Eisner, etc., but the truth is that I snuck in and wasn't a member of the press at all 😱. It's a wonderful and long story that started out with me and a friend having a trip we won to the opening being stolen from us, and ended up with us both having behind-the-scenes access to the park *before* the opening, and then inside the gates before opening on opening day. I got captured in the video, and have wanted to find it again for many years. Thanks again!

Happy 35th anniversary Disney Hollywood Studios 35 years ago the park open to the public so many Ride closed over years and with a new attractions like Star Wars Galaxy Edge toy story land and Mickey and Minnie runaway Railway I would say happy 35th Anniversary Disney Hollywood Studios

I Sure do Miss the Time the Park was called Disney-MGM Studios due to it having The Great Movie Ride, Studio Backlot Tour, the Earffel Tower, the Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show, and the Magic of Disney Animation! The Park is Still Amazing as Disney's Hollywood Studios, but to Me, the Park will always be called Disney-MGM Studios
