I can only imagine what must have been going through Ed's and Janie's minds.

To this day, I think this was the greatest most exciting episode in the show’s run, especially the second round, and it’s VERY CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED! Why do I say this? Here’s why (don’t look if you don’t want spoilers): Mike’s last two spins totaled $7,449 and had him firmly in first place after his turn. Think about it, how often would you wind up with what he did and end up in third place? Jeffie quietly put together her big run to the lead, using her $5,000 and a spin and Tent Trailer to move her into the lead and her last spin was more pressure packed than was led on. Jo slowly made her march towards first place after her whammy and after all that, she needed to go on the last spin at $14,829 and her last spin barely wasn’t enough. Totals by three players of $17,698, $16,829 and $15,069 in one show is terrific and NOT A SINGLE SPIN IN THE ENTIRE SHOW WAS PASSED. If this show was aired at any other time in the show’s duration, I really think we would think of this as the greatest.

Why was the car still on the board after the guy on her right had already hit and had the car credited to him?

at 14:12 the board was 700+ spin, it then changed to the Bahamas , and the other is the whammy, he had a 50/50 chance to lose it all at that spin, damn man.

Loreen's horseshit excuse about how she though she was passing to Ralph made no sense. He had three whammies and would be getting seven spins. If he hit one in any of those spins, the game was over and Dan was winning. He got screwed.

You can tell Judi watches The Price Is Right based on a comment that Bob Barker would make from time to time. A great way to round off inarguably the greatest month in PYL history.

That first question in round 2 was quite interesting, since whenever I find blank video tapes, by far movies are the most common things that I find on them (even from material recorded around 1984). That said, a lot of movies were taped over soaps as I've found a number of clips and/or partial episodes on them. I did recently find some Beta tapes with some General Hospital episodes from the '80s recently, many containing Luke & Laura scenes on them.

Brad actually got no Whammies whatsoever. Even Michael Larson got one Whammy! Grant it, it was on his first spin, and almost all his subsequent spins awarded him additional spins, while Brad only got a couple extra spins on his.

Ed seems like such a nice guy. He even saved Pamela and Vicki from something scarier than a slasher villain.

If Michael had only won two spins in the 2nd round, he would've been done after the Sailboat. He would've gotten the Kauai trip, and been down to 1 spin, and when he got Pick a Corner, he would've selected $1,000+1 Spin to not lose it, and then after the Sailboat he would've been finished. But then again, if Ed or Janie had opted to pass a spin...

Spring may have been the correct answer for the rose pruning question, but winter should have been accepted. Since the plants are dormant, the plants aren't developing like they do in the other seasons, the flowers bloom on new growth from the following season, and since you prune above the ground, even if there's a little bit of snow, you can still prune them, weather permitting.

The old Jump The Shark website had the Larson episodes as the "shark jump" point, but I'd beg to differ, as there was still a lot of great exciting games to come. This was also a rare game where the same prize slide (The Car) appears twice in the same show.

I remember on another episode, a contestant wanted to change their mind and Peter said you can't, you already said pass. So how was this ok? If I were the other contestants, I would have been b**ching over this ruling!
