I’ve been playing Magic for 25 years now. My deckbuilding skills are just fine. Our knowledge of deckbuilding is what gave us the insight that Magic’s system is cumbersome and flawed. That’s why we designed our resource system differently. We’ve been playtesting this for a year and a half and we really enjoy the way it plays. Deckbuilding is still very challenging and competitive, but games are smoother and have more strategy to them!

But then I can't cross my fingers that my opponent will only draw lands. Recently, I've been appreciating this aspect of magic and just wanted to share. The deckbuilding balance and the way that you can shuffle them together without worrying about having to organize them into 2 piles is satisfying. I'm excited that game designers are innovating though. Drawing 2 cards per turn is particularly exciting and it's something I even dabbled with when i attempted designing a tcg. Choosing from those 3 draw options is exciting too.

I think the thing that helped this ad is that it didn't focus so much on using Magic's downsides as stepping stones to promote your own product. It has a cute rhyming scheme in the beginning where you introduce Magic cards for 2 seconds and then immediately shift to your product. Plus, that gives Magic diehards less of a chance to get upset, like in previous ad comments that I've seen. I've always been interested by your game's design but have always been turned off by your earlier ads. This one changes that though! 😁 Great job to whoever created this ad! 👍🏼 I hope you guys get the attention and business y'all deserve!

There are! We have a whole class of cards called malicious cyberware which you can attach to opponents characters to give them various different de-buffs!

That’s exactly the idea! You get it! It honestly makes the flow of the game way more smooth for both players and lets people battle it out with strategy and deckbuilding instead of luck.

It is pretty similar to Inscryption’s resource system! We didn’t actually know what Inscryption was when we made this system, but we found out later and tried playing it and it’s awesome!

It’s called Neuroscape!

We’ve been using art generated in Midjourney as a placeholder while we develop the game. We’re actually working with six different artists right now to create our first artist cards which we’re super excited about! Our eventual goal is to replace all of the Midjourney art in the game with human created art! Creating jobs for artists and paying them a fair wage is something that’s really important to us!

Not completely. There's actually still a lot of chance in the game, it's just not in the resource system.

There’s still a ton of chance in the game! You draw from a random deck and there are lot of D20 mechanics. We just moved the luck out of the resource system where it’s cumbersome and frustrating

There is still chance on what cards you're going to draw in a specific situation, with the added aspect of resource management by choosing to RAMp or go for gas, it's honestly probably a better system than praying for a land on the top idk

@@adamgorsky8422 We think so! We're longtime magic players, and we've been playtesting this system with our community for about a year and a half now and we really like how it plays! It smooths out resources progression and lets both players always have a chance to play cards and compete while still leaving a lot of chance in the game.

It's honestly amazing! I've been playing MTG for 25 years and mana screw is my least favorite part of the game.

Correct! It’s one of our favorite parts of the design of the game. Every player at least has a chance to play cards in every game.

Mana Screwed? Nah, I'm Monogreen Ramp in MTG I have never been manascrewed... Explore, Cultivate, Harrow, Crop Rotation, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Amulet of Vigor, Primeval Titan... Lands they just seem to enter the battlefield out of their own volition... It's either that or Oops All Spells... where I do not have lands at all. And yes, milling myself to get 3 Narcomoeba into the grave so they hit the board so I can dread return Thassa's Oracle, is not really good gameplay, as it means there's no interaction, between me and the opponent. Turning MTG into Solitaire... But yeah, that's a deck I only take out against my friends when they've won too much...

I actually used to draw a lot, but I haven’t really practiced regularly in a long time so I really don’t have the skills. My girlfriend is actually a storyboard artist and an animator. Every time I see her draw I’m just blown away by how easy she makes it look. She’s actually working on some art for our game right now!
