Musaka is originally from ottoman impare. Now Turky. Bulgarians makes it with potatoes or slices of the eggplant. So now you know!😊

I admire your ignorance. Musaka is turkish dish. I bulgaria we make it with potatoes or eggplant. Greeks advertis everything as Greeks. They are known as low self of stem people. So they claim all is Greeks. 😮

For God's sake, moussaka is not greek!!! The Greek version was invented by a greek chef back in 1920s, the one with eggplants. Moussaka is Lebanese and it was introduced to the Balkans by the Ottomans. However, every country that has it has adjusted it to its own taste.

This question is something I've been trying to figure out the answer to here in Budapest. I only want the best, (or at least the best quality/price ratio)! Thank you!

Do they have paprika in it? because the spice is the main ingredient in Hungarian cuisine 😅
@hungrymashaАй бұрын
Thank you for your comment! That’s true, Hungarians use a lot of paprika in their cuisine. Rozsavolgyi has chocolate with hot paprika and Stühmer has sweets with cherry and paprika

Thank you for a very interesting review. We will be going to Budapest again next month. We are looking for places to buy the poppy seed and walnut strudel. We got some at the Central Market last time and they were quite good. Thank you for sharing.

Szia!
@rakosipeter74462 ай бұрын
Milyen az a kokos? Soha nem hallottam ezt a kifejezést.
@textperfekt2 ай бұрын
@@rakosipeter7446 I'll answer in English, my Hungarian is not that good: Kokos are brown balls, kind of like cakepops. They are similar to the interior of Austrian "Punschkrapfen" but without the alcohol. And they are coated in coconut flakes.

@@textperfekt I think you are looking for "kókuszgolyó" (coconut ball). The inside is chocolate and biscuit pieces, and the outside is covered with coconut. You can buy it in many places, in sweet shops and cafes too!
