Slack tide is NOT halfway between high and low tides. Slack tide lasts for 30 minutes to an hour right at high and low tide. Like the video though!

Hello, thanks for tuning in. Actually slack tide as referred to here is when the current is almost not moving, and that is between high and low tide. Pull up your tide/current tables on your chart plotter and it will show when both occur. A lot of people have that same misconception.

@@marathonsportfishing@AStanton1976 is correct. Water level cannot continue to rise or fall is there is no current. Easy visible demonstration would be go to a bridge in the keys halfway between high and low tide. Current is ripping in or out then. Also enjoyed the video but had to comment on that. Btw, former charter captain and current maritime pro running small boats in shallow water.

Oh man ! ! ! ! I couldn't imagine working Mutiple cameras, fighting the fish, driving the boat, prepping the harpoon, pulling the weight, getting a gaff ready all before you touch the fish. Great job Matt and Anthony. Probably why I shore fish when I'm in the Keys. Take care, Micky C

OK i have a link in the video description, get the Huntington spoon that DOESN'T have the screw attaching the hook I think mine are 5.5" Everything will eat the spoon!
