@@user-jw5sg8hg5u Interesting. I found some stuff about this and he has two theories. 1) These ''tulips'' serve as an incubator to give birth to humanoids like those born from the wall. The difference, those born from the wall could be malformed, with genetic defects or die quickly (only from falling very high). To be born in these ''tulips'', to be perfect without defects (seeing the resemblance to those with the end who have transplanted their brains). 2) These tulips would have a restorative or other function, like caterpillars which surround themselves with silk to transform into butterflies. They are born from the wall and undoubtedly privileged people are authorized to molt in these tulips. Given the abandoned place, left in decay, it would have caused a malfunction and therefore it causes problems and without death (the one who comes out and the 3 others still inside).

This civilization seems loved or addicted to have new life(like the wall that give birth to them),and i also found a theory too According to the game two main character are actually ONE,like two face one in front and another one behind,each"face"have a specific job to do such as one keep eating to have energy for the whole body,another one keep having children,but its not fair for both of them so they are like...riot to separate from each other....and so they start to do experiment to seperate.But two face have two job,one doesnt have mouth to eat,one doesnt have d*ck to sax,so their population quickly decreased,leaving no chance,they start to do something on mind to form a kind of brain network which is the end of the game where the main character got surgery to get eternal life.. The main character which we play along the game and the other one which is the parasite(born from the wall)are actually one person,for the mouthless guy(main character),he wanted to upload his mind as the one who did before him,but the parasite,it got instinct to combine with the mouthless,its because without him,the parasite cant have a child..so maybe..the last scene of the game which show a Alien looking egg is actually a egg for a new lifeform

The artbook gives some details to help us get an idea, the rest is up to our interpretations. The metaphor that many agree on is about birth, reincarnation, transandante. I think it's a "makes you think" experience. No real story, just vibes. What does it mean to you? Personally I found it disgusting and depressing, and I'm sure it means many things to many people but goddamn that parasite thing just makes me sick.
