Do your own thing. In the 70s we watched people, and put together our own moves. It's very difficult to follow other peoples moves step by step. Do something unique to you. Nobody is judging.

Bless your heart for trying to teach the stomp. However I reckon you just have to watch people and make your moves up yourself..... As we did when we were all young😂Its very hard to learn somebody elses techniques. Not having a go, just my opinion.

Thank you for posting this! I am trying to learn these steps but being that I am a beginner dancer, it's pretty hard for me. Please post more! I love the way you formulate these, putting them all together, seeing the steps form into a dance over time. It really gets the blood pumping.

I've been falling over myself trying to pick up some of these steps over the last couple of years and just about gave up on some of them. Until now. You make them seem easy and break them down really well. For someone that lives in a wee town with only a small group of likeminded people it's hard to pick up the steps properly when I'm only able to get away to dance at one rally/do a year, the tutorials are great!!

Lynette Murray it's good to hear your managing the moves it does take long time to pick up moves if nobody shows you the first stomp I was taught by a guy I worked beside and since then I picked moves up every where I danced good luck with your practice:-)

Harry Flashman don't have these trainers anymore they wore away the trainers ware in tutorial number 11 are different don't know the make isn't on them as can see they have very thin sole some of these types of sports shoes spinning circle under the ball of the foot it helps with turns I think when this style came out they were an aerobic style of trainer they are very light and you can stomp very fast in them wearing a light color against a dark color makes the moves look clearer especially when teaching if stomp a lot the soles wear away over time so if you buy cheaper shoes you can always get another pair good luck

BrrRainy hi there thanks for your comment I used do the stomp much faster in the past along with some floor work I used to do disco comps in the 80s I was on tv in 83 it was at the cutting edge of the break dance scene a lot of us were doing breaking moves before it got here so the transfer was much easier there are a lot of moves missing from the soul scene today because unlike the break dance scene not every thing was filmed some of the the moves like the Melbourne shuffle I did in my 20s we had to pick up moves by memory first time round some of my mates went to see dance films 5 or six times because there were no video recorders we pinched moves from gene Kelly or from a movie called bubbles it was a slower process you can learn so many moves from KZbin now wish we had it back then good luck with your dancing keep the faith

Nice one. I'm getting the hang of it slowly. You're Definitely doing the right thing by keeping it very simple, adding to it, then showing what it should look like if we weren't beginners, brilliant. Thank you!!
