Blades, I have only treated it 2 times in a year and the first time I put too much in I put 1 cup in and the smell and feel of bleach lasted for a bit. I just put 1/4 cup in and it did have a the city water smell to it as I know its treated but not the feel of bleach. Hope that helps.

@@rj44137 no problem. I asked my neighbor and he has a 1000 gallon tank and says he never treats it. I figured to do it 2 times a year won't hurt. I only have mine filled with 375 gallons and 1/4 cup seemed about right.

Thanks! I've been releasing the fox I catch since they aren't worth much unless the farmers specifically ask me to remove them. We don't have a ton of coyotes but I'm sure within next 10 years we will. Love to connect on a cat in season. Fisher will be out next weekend.

@@BNOOutdoors yes it was. With the ice and rain earlier and now just rain it's been a bad year for me! Hope next year is better. Was hoping to connect with a cat. I make my own bait too. Gave some to another local trapper and he connected with a cat on it.

@@davidcoffey6013 I'm in Western PA and I've been seeing the most coyote sign I've ever seen. I'm actually going to set for bobcat and Fisher this weekend. I got a nice cat last year but before season so I had to let go.
