Any idea how to do stacked prints? Try to print multiboard and want to stack with 0.2mm gap, but it cant slice bc "one object has an empty initial layer and cant be printed" but the emty layer is the ofset of each board from the surface.. Cura can do this, but can this?

Btw, the build plate looks alot like the SV05. I didn’t like it. So? I ordered two sided pei sheet, smooth/textured…. Re your “overview” (hope to see you review this) I agree with much of it. My plans, enclose it, mount a camera (the AI camera).
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Hey Jack, you didn't like the build plate from the SV05? How is the one you did buy? Does it is nicer to print on? These Reaction videos about new printers are to inform and provide my honest thoughts and ideas about it. Sometimes Creality does send me those printers, but maybe they will do. But I know some of my Creator friends will provide some great reviews about their findings about it. Your plans sounds really great, sure to do them
@TheJacklwilliams6 күн бұрын
@@Zachary3DPrints Hey Zachary! Actually the K1 “Build Plate A” is completely different. It feels more like PEI albeit sans texture but, still metalic in nature. The plate on the SV05 felt like Vinyl backed with a magnet. Which, wouldn’t have bothered me but through some glitch (never did find the source of it) when I booted it the first time and went to print, the head crashed into the plate, drug acrossed it, and promptly ruined it. Needless to say I was seriously PO’d. I ordered a textured pei spring steel one for it and threw the other away. Ironically, I noted the K1 plate has the wiper piece on the back so…. Anway, a few prints in, enjoyin the crap out of it. Looking foward to pushing it’s boundaries. THANKS!

I’ll know. After waiting for the “right one” for me, I just ordered. On it’s way…. Extremely excited. First creality, first Core XY, third printer. Each time I’ve upped the game. First time, no name bed slinger, second one Creality 5 pro knockoff though it was by Sovol and it’s printing at the moment and? Frankly I dig the printer. Going to print Mercury one upgrades for it using my K1SE. Extremely excited about all the possibilities I’m going to pull off with this. Re enclosure? I’ll have it enclosed within a week.
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Oh that sounds really cool. I hope that the K1 SE doesn't disappoint you. I did get some great prints from the K1, so I think the SE would be amazing too, but time will tell.
@TheJacklwilliams6 күн бұрын
@@Zachary3DPrints It is, completely. I’m exhausted, monitoring printer telemetry at the kitchen table and the usability boost in this class of printers is night and day above bedslingers. Of course that’s discluding the last two years of bedslinger upgrades. Printers like the A1/A1 mini are seriously something else like the Ender 3VS (E?). I can’t keep up with the alphabet soup. I suggest the first company with guts start doing what Rocket Lab and SpaceX and Blue Origin do and give the droneships, rockets, missions, etc… creative names like “what did I come in this room for?”. Anyway I digress. CoreXY, Going to root it in a day or two after I print a billion “tests”, blah blah blah. We’ll see, I’ll keep you up with any relevant issues! GREAT CHANNEL!

You mentioned using "Fluid". Will you be going through how to install that on Windows 10? I went to the github for it, but there doesn't seem to be a Windows installer, per say. There is source code, but I haven't worked with any compilers lately. Not sure where to go with this as yet. Ideas?
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Ok, the V3 Plus runs Klipper as Firmware for that printer, the interface is based on Fluid. For the Slicer to slice models to print on the V3 Plus, Orca Slicer can run on Windows 11... but I'm not sure if they also support Windows 10. Checking orcaslicer.net/ It seems that it should be working on Windows 7 and up. Try to use the link that I have mentioned before and run the installer.
@BlondieSL9 күн бұрын
Hmm... I'm following along here to learn the slicer and I noticed that clicking on anything, like Advanced, for example, is VERY SLOW to respond. Then, after clicking something else, Orca just CRASHED!!!! I hope that this is not a usual thing, because with my old printer, I use Cura and not even once has that crashed! To me, this is 2024, the days of software crashing should be long over. I know that Cura can be set up to work with this printer and Klipper. If this Orca proves unstable, then I'll look into that. The thing is too, there should be zero conflicts. This is a fresh install of Windows 10 with no unofficial software installed. DANG!
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Which Installer or site did you use? If you used the Github, try to uninstall it and follow the link from my previous comment. It should be working.
@BlondieSL9 күн бұрын
Could you please confirm what the "portable" version is and what that's all about? I'm assuming that it's just one where you can run Orca without "installing" is as all the necessary files and DLLs are within its own folder. But I'm not sure as I've not used Orca before. And if that's what it mean, then if you don't save your own profiles and data in a different path, would it save ALL changes and profiles to the same folder, thereby, making it truly "portable" where you can just copy the folder over to any computer and it just works??
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Lol, I did see the portable version too, but I guess it is for the lighter laptops. Should go for the normal version

i have bought an ender 3v3 KE recently. I somehow can't change the speed in the creality slicer. When I try to set it from 300 to 500 the print time stays the same and the speed does not increase. Can you help me to solve that?
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Hey Hans Smit, where did you change the speed? I think in the Right hand side? Some of the settings are bound to the maximum speeds in the Printer settings in Creality Print (the pencil next to the printer name on the left top). Hello, I have also bought the CR-M4, but I haven’t been able to achieve the print quality I want. The printer has a 0.8 nozzle installed. I’ve tried Creality Slicer, Creality Cloud, etc., but couldn’t get a proper result. Could you share the slicer and profile you use?
@Zachary3DPrints7 күн бұрын
Oh, that sounds terrible... I normally use for all of my Creality Printers Creality Print, but I see that this CR M4 isn't in there. When checking Creality Slicer 4.8, they don't have the nozzle diameter in the standard Printer settings(manager), but you'll find it under the filament type(middle top section), you can change that into 0.8mm nozzle. Did you also tried that?
