I have just ordered this hotend you reviewed: I paid only €68.52 inc. shipping. If live outside UK, and live in EU, you could just have googled the hotend, and you would be able to buy it in your own country cheaper, so you did not have to pay tax. People shall learn to do some research BEFORE hit the buy button. That have saved med LOTS of money over the years.

Yeah I see that now but at the time I purchased getting it from the uk to Ireland was the only option tbh I think it’s still the same . Ireland doesn’t have any 3d printing resellers

But is it better then big tree techs revo hot end. I don't think so it's not able to switch nozzles. plus that tip is available from E3D rapid change nozzles and you can switch size. So your better off buying the big tree tech revo hot end.

I recommend applying the oil or grease directly to foam swabs and then lubricating with those. No drips and much easier faster for any lubrication maintenance. Gets all the nook, crannies, and channels.

Does anyone have this and the Biqu Panda Revo debating which to get. Thanks
@bradleyliebl29314 ай бұрын
I have both, they are both pretty good I have multiple printers using each type, the revo is best for switching and with high flow nozzles prints fast and good, the E3D ObXidian is a all around better and faster nozzle you can stuff anything through it 2 or 3 times faster then stock and 30-50 percent faster then the revo high flow, however I like them both and would probably go with the revo unless you stick to one nozzle size. I have my E3D ObXidian on machines that stay either .6 or .4 and revos on my machine I switch a lot. Keep in mind that the revo high flow still prints fast easily double the capacity of the stock bambu nozzle. Also with the revo do not get cheap aliexpress nozzles they will leave a plastic residue on the nozzle and make it harder to replace the nozzles, just get the high flow coated type. One other thing my E3D ObXidian have never clogged, and my revo has but I think if you print carbon fiber then make sure it above .6, mine clogged printing cheap PCTG with .4 revo high flow which splits to 3 small lines which I think clogged. It was easy to do a 100c cold pull to clear it, but my E3D ObXidian has never clogged. I still would have no issues buying either, in fact I have a sovol SV08 I'm getting ready to mod to a bambu revo style nozzle so I like both.

And they say that Bambu printers for those who do not like tinker with printer = ) But on the contrary, those complex mechanics need a lot of accurate maintenance. I use my Ender 3 (on POM wheels) for two years, and never ever done anything like that. Actually I did not oil anything at all. Waiting for a POM Z nut, to degrease z spindel once and for all. POM nut does not require oiling at all. And POM wheels do not need oiling at all. BTW, I print 8x8 cell multiboard in 3 hours and 40 minutes(in PETG) for you to check with your printer speed. Oh... A1 mini will not fit 8x8 cell mutiboard... At least they say that some Bambu printer will print it in 2 hour 30 minute. I guess I am OK with my speeds for $100 and zero maintenance = ) (I installed only 3d printed DD mod and fixed the bed with aluminum foil, also using PEI, and that's all, no heavy modding like 2 minute benchy girl... Of course I bought some parts, so I guess it is near $150 now (plus $50), and it can heat up the bed even more than 100C, not locked to 80C, and again, zero maintenance, also you need a wrench to change the nozzle, but a couple of nozzles cost nearly nothing, so I guess, I am OK with that)

The largest speed benefit w a 0.4 nozzle doesn't seem to be for PLA, but for higher temp filaments like ASA / ABS. BL's default flow setting for their filament is 18mm3/s (ASA) and 16 (ABS). With the Obxidian this jumps to 35 (ASA) ! And am guessing ~31 for ABS. Huge gains, would cut hours out of my 11-hours prints. Since I mostly print ABS, the Obxidian is high on my Black Friday list this year ! But darn, would REALLY REALLY REALLY like a quick change nozzle to switch btwn 0.2, 0.4, 0.6

would it last 3x as long as a regular stock hot end and be able to print faster? if so, then its worth it. I'll try one and see how it goes!
@FilamentFoundry5 ай бұрын
That’s why I’m going to test it out for 6 months but tbh the price is kinda mind blowing if you could change the nozzle then I think it would be a fair price
@PaulGuy6 ай бұрын
The ease of changing the hot end is a big reason I just bought an A1 Mini instead of a P1S. I'm guessing that the next version (P2S?) will have this, but I didn't want to spend $500 extra on something with less quality-of-life upgrades built in, especially with my previous experiences with fdm printers.
@enosunim4 ай бұрын
If some PXS will have quick release nozzles be assured - it will be incompatible with everything before = ) Just like AMS light is compatible only with A1 and A1 mini. And vise versa, normal AMS is not compatible with A1 and A1 mini. = ) You know, an iPhone in 3d printing. = )

@@FilamentFoundry I cannot remember the specifics exactly, but I think that the owner of the 3d musketeers youtube channel was saying that there were also concerns about terms in the user licence agreement for these machines and that you would not want to use those models if you used your printers for any kind of commercial work or wanted to protect the ownership/privacy of any files you are/have worked on.
