I suppose it depends on personal preference and the capability you want. I enjoyed working with g-pascal and kyan pascal mostly because their interfaces were simpler but yet have good features.

I don't recall, but it was pretty fast, probably a week to 10 days.

@@RetroAxis I got my replacement about 4 days once they confirm my photo and address.

I followed the instructions provided by Cyberpower as part of their RMA. It is possible that different models of batteries will have different requirements. I was able to keep the batteries as they did not ask for any of the parts to be returned, and destroying a battery is dangerous, as batteries should be disposed of properly. Hope that helps.

Yes, I run my vcs entirely on Ubuntu with a custom setup of RetroArch. In fact, I never boot it into the Atari VCS os at all.

@Retro Axis great to know , I will still use the atari vcs normally , to support atari and their attempt at getting back in the gaming market , I just wanna use the PC mode to play the atari back catalog and gen 2 and gen3 era of gaming.

I believe that is how uefi boot ordering works. It looks for external discs that are bootable first, then loads the hard drive. So that is the expected behavior. It could possibly be changed in the BIOS.

Hi John, great suggestion. I would need to see if the Atari VCS CPU has TPM support, which is needed for Windows 11 support.

You could check the Atari Age forums. Maybe there has been some more postings about it. I haven't powered-up mine on in over 9 months.

@@RetroAxis No, I have checked them. I have problems just trying to reliably access the uefi/bios sometimes, so I think a replacement might be necessary as I'm not confident any of their updates are going to work. I waited a long time to buy a VCS in hopes any bugs/complaints would have been worked out before I purchased one. It is typical for me not to buy new PC hardware until about after a year or release, esp. as it can take some time for Linux devs to iron on bugs, although that is not as bad as prior times in the Linux-sphere. Atari is recently boasting in interviews of how this is more of a mini-PC than a console, but it doesn't seem that way to me at all so far, and have no qualms about the AtariOS side itself (beyond PCmode shortcut not actually working at all). Installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS last night to see if my prior Peppermint 11 install might be detected again. Ubuntu works so far afaict (if I can access the uefi). I don't know why I could previously install Peppermint on the same ssd and have it work for about 5 reboots, then somehow become inaccessible, but I guess that could be something else. I have done same scenario in many other uefi/secure boot pc's and not had any problems. Thank you for your time and response.
