Western Washington makes better pinot noir than Oregon! it is actually on the same latitude as burgundy! unlike the willamette valley witch is like southern france good for shiraz or cab but not Pinot Noir!

So pleased you are doing this and choosing the Loire, enjoy! One of the most memorable holidays I ever had was in the Loire, in Saumur, visiting Chateau Villeneuve, Domaine du Hureau and Bouvet Ladubay, staying in a house carved into the tuffeau rock. 40+ degrees that year also and our first day was a wine tasting in the castle over the town. My late father in law, who was on holiday with us, kept the glass from the tasting and it still has pride of place in the cabinet in his home. Enjoy a very special part of the world!

how do i train my nose to "block" out the ethanol smell
@visforvino59 минут бұрын
Your best bet is to slowly bring your nose to the glass until you just start to smell. Don't go further. Using the proper glassware for each wine also helps!

Los perros en chile son individuos libres y soberanos de sus acciones!! . Saben cruzar la calle en los lugares establecidos, cruzan con luz verde como cualquier humano. Chile es un gran país y somos buenas personas. Nuestro único problema es creernos muy europeos

Went there a few months ago. If you love that kind of wines, you absolutely have to taste the ones from Vincent Careme. Le Peu Morier is a master piece. Also try François Chidaine in Montlouis, thoses wines are excellent for their prices! Cheers Vince! 🍷

When I saw the color and heard your description, especially saying that pretty much everything was "medium", I guessed Merlot. You should taste this again when it is about 8-9 years old. Trust me.

Merlot is a solid guess on this for sure. But I think the freshness/elevation led me to Chile.

I had never tried Torrontes before seeing this video, but I think that a big difference between Gewürztraminer and this wine is the color: wines from Gewürztraminer are usually more golden, since the grape skin is pink. Anyways, very interesting video and thanks for making me discover this grape, I bought a bottle a few days after and it was super nice😊
