To me it feels like 343 has slowly been chipping away at the foundation that bungie built, and that halo is just so good that it has been able to resist 343 chipping away at it. I like halo infinite but its hard to not be disappointed at so many of 343's decisions.

Is it better? Yes… Is it good? No, not by a long shot… Multiplayer just doesn’t feel the same, it feels boring in my opinion compared to some of the older games, custom modes felt more chaotic and fun in the past. The Campaign was decent, definitely not the worst, but at the same time, there is nothing to do in the open world after you are done with the story line. Oh yeah, and they monetized anything that had to do with customization, which was definitely a slap to the face compared to past games. I get that Halo 5 had loot boxes, but you could actually get everything in the game without having to spend extra.

“The gameplay is a return to form” sprint, slide, clamber and ADS is not a return to form. It’s still a complete departure from the original gameplay and vision of the original trilogy. This is true regardless of your enjoyment of those mechanics.

Despite what everyone on KZbin says, I love Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. It just had the worst launch of any halo game. Like a well made cake without frosting. But now I’m enjoying it every day. Ton of maps, a good max ranked reward, and the match composer is a blessing. But the monetization is ruining this games potential since you can’t get much rewards by just playing. But I still have fun with this game, it feels awesome to play

I will give them one more chance with a brand new game, if it’s not good I’d say halo is dead, they are hanging by a thread

Personally Halo Infinite is my favorite multiplayer. I love the gameplay way more than the classic games, and it’s way more active. I wish they could have released like this, but once you understand the development hell the game went through and the complete restructuring of 343, it does make sense the game turned out the way it did. I just hope the Halo trilogy remake they’re doing has a similar gameplay style to this and releases in a competent state.

Halo Infinite started strong with the gameplay and art style but it’s been on a pretty steady downhill spiral since they launched the free multiplayer. The weapon rebalancing felt bad, and the PVP is literally unplayable. Admittedly I’m a 9-5’er so I don’t have time to put a ton of hours into the game, but why am I getting put in high elo lobbies with absolute sweats in unranked game modes? It’s ridiculous. The MMR is so broken and I honestly don’t see myself coming back until it gets fixed.

Great video! I would suggest reworking your audio mixing so its a little louder on mobile speakers. Other than that, good points, the halo infinite engine and gameplay is rrally tight, its so unfortunate that they took such stupid decisions to totally kill the game.

Tbh this is one of the worst QoL games I have ever played. I think they are very dishonest about this game, this is clearly early access. We are not being drip fed new content, they are making new content at a regular basis as per any development process. Many seemingly key features are not in the game yet, 3rd race isn't even finished. The so called "galactic war" is nowhere near finished and doesn't even work, we cannot win or lose it. We cannot even "defend our home planet" so the threat is artificial. They do it cool tho, you "unlock" new stratagems by liberating planets, but it's just a cover for just giving us them right away anyways. They give us broken weapons and stratagems, oopsie. don't get me wrong, the game is amazing, but the issues they are facing are huge, and the time needed to make this game not die out quickly as it is doing in this ratio due to "nothing to do" and no real eng game feeling for veterans to conquer.

I don't really understand this company though. To do this to the most critically acclaimed Star Wars game will cause that company to not be trusted at all if they make another game that includes multiplayer. They didn't do this to a game with little notoriety, they did it to a game that was the best-selling Star Wars game in its original Xbox/Ps2 era on top of nearly having the highest online player base in that era. No one is going to trust them again. I think I may disagree with you not calling it the worst launch under the context that the only job Aspyr had was making an old game work and doing some minor tweaks.

This isn't going to stop until morons can contain their nostalgia cum and WAIT to buy these products. So many people hype buy this shit, lots of times preorder it, so parent companies are going to make those profits regardless of quality, and in these remaster cases, they make MORE money pumping out a game that took less time and resources to create. If you want to be part of the solution then WAIT so you can ensure your money is rewarding good effort, not this shit.

In Battlefront 2 apparently the "bugs" with the new update the Trooper Selection Menu being too far to the left and Legendary Awards not applying in Singleplayer are INTENDED CHANGES. Dude where do i even start if those changes ARE intended. I literally only cared about singleplayer and all they had to do was fix a command post on Naboo, Fix sounds, Fix the 501st Journal cutscenes, and fix Droideka camera movement on consoles. All fixes that literally could've been handled in a SINGLE PATCH yet only the first three of those issues were handled the last being still present and they ended up changing the game worse than how it was on launch.

i refunded 61 minutes after launching it. Utter dog water of an experience. People are still defending it on the steam discussion and actually think "people are only playing the originals right now because they're trying to make a point" no people are playing the originals because the soul purpose for the classic collections existence was multiplayer! why would they even bother playing it for the single player when half of it's missing and all the upscaling and tweaks they did can be achieved on the originals for free via mods

The problem with "voting with your wallet" argument is that, while you're voting with your wallet, you are also competing with a shit ton of other wallets that are voting against you. And, sadly, the bigger wallet wins. They'll keep selling minimum viable products and people will still be paying for cash grabs.

I'm not a dev nor programmer. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I though ports are not just simply "grab the old code and put it in a new machine". A game originally made for playstation 2 won't magically just run in the newest playstation. Same for windows versions. You'll have to patch good'ol 3d Pinball Space Cadet for it to work in windows 11. Even if devs fix it enough and made the game run in new hardware, the games would probably still be plagued with wonderful and novel bugs, all introduced by mismatched architecture and systems. What you see it's not the devs fucking it up, it's the nature of port development. And knowing corporate, this is probably the best they could do given the little time and manpower.

Honestly, I’ve been having a really good time with the game. Yeah, it had its glitches when it released which was unfortunate, but most of the problems have been ironed out (at least in my experience). It’s nice being able to play it on Switch after playing it on Xbox for 19 years.

I'll stick to my original xbox thanks.
