That last reviewer seems pretty good just saying :) Real talk this video is really good and it's important to talk about. Ign has no brand consistency because it has so many reviews who are told to just review whatever release is next on the lease. Dunkey actually has a great take on this too it's worth a watch. As always awesome job and I'm glad you are back :)

Days Gone, you can drive by shoot zombies on a motorcycle and power slide burnout 180 while continuing to chop them down with a sub machine gun. IGN killed that EP before it even had a chance.

Fun fact, the Doom 2016 review basically stated "multiplayer's not good because you have an advantage it you play it more" which is every single multiplayer experience in history. Game 100% deserves at least a 9.5

Man I still remember the worst review of them all and it was for my favorite game sonic unleashed and you could clearly see they weren't even trying to hide the fact that they were being bad at the game on purpose where they literally slow down and jump over a spring pad and fall to their deaths like seriously you could tell they were paid to shit on that masterpiece. Plus sonic unleashed still holds up in 2022 and the graphics have aged like fine wine and these are 2008 graohics.

Found this video after your battlefront collection vid. I have to say I've just been over reviews period. The whole format just isn't fun anymore. I prefer reviews that do away with the scores completely and just deep dive into the core of it- is it fun? How's the music? If there's multiplayer are there micro transactions? I do enjoy the opinionated side too to get peoples two cents in, because there's no such thing as a factual review. Also welcome back. Rofl @ 1 year later

Nobody should use a single sources review to decide whether or not they should purchase a product. It’s largely subjective. However you’d be pretty solid if you look at the majorities reviews. Although that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll enjoy the game it does help the consumer to make an educated purchase. That being said IGN reviews are super odd at times.

IGN stopped being a good review site when the old guard of the early to mid 2000s left the site around 2011ish. But if you read their reviews for games like Half Life 1 and 2, or Kotor, or Mass Effect 1, they're absolutely amazing. They used to be like 8 page reviews and a 10 minute review video. They used to be so exact and content rich in their reviews.

IGN reviewers be like: Looks realistic, check, from a AAA company, check, boring as heck, check, oh, look, a strong female character, 10/10! This game though, it's from an indie developer and the game doesn't look realistic, it's actually fun, and the characters are likable, and not all female, also there's an ocean, just too much water! 0/10!

IGN also gets more attention for their game reviews than anywhere else on the internet. If they were so bad why do we choose to pay attention to them and give them the spotlight other better critics deserve. IGN fans are a helpless horde, they watch the reviews and complain about them when they disagree and love them so very much when they agree. This is why IGN are powerful-they get us talking about them constantly.

I'm no fan of IGN reviews either, but the way you seem to only focus on score and take superficial jabs at summarizing points...instead of critiquing the full review itself...kinda makes you part of the problem. Maybe focus less on the score and more on the actual content of the review? Scores mean absolutely nothing.
