I just wanted to share that my husband and I had visited St. Thomas before on a cruise and went to Meghan’s Bay but returned straight to the port afterward. This time, we’re on a cruise with our extended family of 10, many of whom have never been here before. We really wanted to show them the most beautiful view, and we wouldn’t have known about this viewpoint if it weren’t for you. Thank you so much!

This was one of the better vlogs so far in 2025. Thanks for your honesty. As a Platinum at MGM, my losses were about $68,738.00, yet, when you speak to a casino host, they have NO problem telling you that you’re “OVERCOMPED” and it is infuriating! Also, MGM is quick to reduce free play if your last trip had a decrease in coin in(or actual $ in). I’m booking every month with my new offers at increased comps because I know they’d go allot lower after my first trip in a few weeks. There was one vlog where a lady interviewed a “host” and went over the “Theo”(Theoretical win). My comps have gone way down. Used to hit hit all high statuses at Caesar’s, Venetian/Palazzo, and MGM and now I’m only at MGM. Josh, do you consider your airfare and transportation to/from casino as a “sunk” cost?

The key here is tracking every dollar on a spreadsheet and that's what you guys do. I hang around a lot of gamblers and also see a lot of slot youtubers who claim this or that but they don't track everything. Slot youtubers, we won't mention names, mostly post their winning sessions and only occasionally, mention a loss giving the appearance of being a winning player. Thanks for sharing on youtube the true results of gambling over several years. This is what most people's spreadsheets would look like if they are honest about their gambling.

Nice to see you Josh and Rachel! I am a disabiled Canadian. I gamble VERY little at MGM, but they give me 4 days (which I took advantage of twice). I am The Shamus Of Slots , but I prefer to play at different properties and where ever they have the latest games. Yes -- I just go during the week! I got Luxore or Excaliber -- and I need to pay the resort fee! So $200 to stay and they also give some free play and food comps. Last time I went to Smith's Grocery Sore -- and they was wonderful! Very useful video folks. I subscribed! I have been writing on the internet for 25 years -- and on KZbin for 15 years! Take care Josh and Rachel! I hope we keep in touch!

We’re glad you enjoy them! We’ll try to keep them going! We do have intentions of an experiment at Venetian this next trip. I was very disappointed that even with lots of play and $2,500 loss at FB we aren't getting weekend rooms comp'd so the next time we stay I don't intend to play there, instead take my gambling budget to Venetian

I think it would have been better to incorporate some information on the slots as a small part of one of your guy's more typical food/hotel review videos. A full 30 minutes dedicated to recording slot machines seems like a bit much. A full video dedicated to slots I think would have been better as a "members only" video, but this is just my own personal opinion.

I couldn’t agree with you all more. The larger ships limit your ports of call, the 3 night sailings are not long enough to enjoy all of the onboard amenities and it’s better to take a 7 day cruise if you’re going to take a wk off from work. Excellent points all around!!! 😊

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Last year i took advantage of the cosmopolitan glitch and had my whole 15 days stay comped in suites in Cosmo and NoMad + $2500 Freeplay and $2000 resort credits. This year, i should get a 16 comped suites nights stay (cosmo, luxor and Aria ) but "only" $650 Freeplay and $1200 resort credits... pretty sure this will be the last time I can do that...but the slots machine feels tighter and tighter....

Are you A serious Gambler and do you have any of the local casinos within an hour drive from you? I appreciate this video and have noticed myself some of the declining comp values for items. Vegas in general is suffering as a whole and hasn't been the same since 2008 really and then covid happened and crushed it even further. Eventually the comp 's value and return to players will return because if folks aren't getting value from their money they will adjust their entertainment needs. Casinos are greedy but they're not stupid and once they hit a bigger drawback they'll start opening up in Gates more. I would suggest finding unconventional beatable games to build your bank roll up better. Card counting is for Losers but you can still make money on a smaller scale with basic strategy. Blackjack, baccarat and craps. More and more states are starting to get into the gaming actions and more casinos will be built that will provide people closer experiences to home versus going out to Vegas. It is one of a kind but we got to protect our interests AKA our money just like they have to protect theirs and if I can go to Ohio or Atlantic City or the Mississippi and win money consistently for a fraction of a Vegas trip while still getting player comps that are used at all of the companies properties? That's a better win. I haven't been to Vegas in over 10 years but when I do go back can stay anywhere because of my East Coast gaming

You need to do the following:. 1. Get off the strip. South Point and M resort ore good options, but there are others. 2. Play video poker. Be sure to study the game and find the right payables. Slot and keno paybacks are trash. 3. Avoid Stations. They no longer comp or give anything to you if you play the good video poker.
@JoshRachael3 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing Our issues with that plan we would be off strip and we might as well go to our local casino (Blackhawk Colorado) if just looking to gamble
@tkell313 күн бұрын
Interesting exercise. My buddy who is a pretty big gambler, but by no means a whale, had an argument with his host about comps. Specifically the cost the casino associated with drinks and food. At this point drinks can range all the way up to the mid 20s (talking common drinks nothing exotic), while the actual cost is probably around $1-$2. Getting a six pack of Stella and using $90 in comps just doesnt seem equitable for the player.
@JoshRachael3 күн бұрын
True but we find ourselves paying $20 for plenty of drinks still. We can’t relate it to buying at the corner store otherwise none of us would ever leave our houses, right?
@tkell313 күн бұрын
@@JoshRachael I guess I overlap the era when alcohol was a throw in at most casinos. Going from essentially free or extremely reasonable to $20+ a pop seems excessively greedy. But profit is the only thing that matters now so if people will pay it that's the way it's going to go. Also gave us $50 resort fees everyone loves.

Caesars uses daily average play in their calculation when giving comps. You're significantly better off gambling 5k in 1 day than 10k over 10 days.

I feel your pain, guys! I find that I’m betting way more than in the past and getting way less comps! In the past, I tended to love the limos, free food, and the smoke my hosts blew up my ass! LOL!😂 😂 Now, I don’t go to Vegas as much as I used to. I like the Beau Rivage - one hour flight from Atlanta and never pay a penny. The games are the good games and you can play in high limit room on $5 and $10 tables. I’m a 77 year old widow and have money, but I’m spending to fly Business or First class and go on fabulous European river cruises - expensive, but, at my age - screw it! I just adore you guys. I’d love to meet up sometime and buy you a drink!!! BTW, I ate the 14 course dinner at Joel Robuchon based on your video! What an experience. Keep posting - I love your cruise trips. If you want to try a river cruise, I highly recommend AMA Waterways on the Danube! Cheers Kathy
