Lose the guy with the lips. I'm kidding, amazing footage. The original Stones at their best. This was around the time they recorded 'Paint It Black'.

Incredible! BB King not missing a beat restringing the guitar. Not to mention the incredible drummer and Horn section.

I wish the audio could be processed to sound a bit better. At the moment it sounds a bit like a headphone speaker being played at full volume in an empty baked bean can. Wonderful footage, however. That said, I managed to see the Stones myself at Maine Road Stadium in 1990. The sound was rubbish then also 🤣

Yeah I agree the sound quality on this video is not that great. Who knows how it was recorded through the mixing board. Very archaic times

It’s interesting how Isak says the general’s name in a Louisiana way (LaFeaeht) and the general himself and the British officer pronounce it the French way.

The music in the beginning, before the Rolling Stones, was from a dance sequence with the Hullaballoo dancers, and a choreographer.

I was at the 2 day festival in 1999. It was an extraordinary summer that I still remember fondly. Because there was a big storm on the first day, I met a girl from Hamburg in the pit lane. On the second day we met again and enjoyed Aerosmith.

This is great. I always felt that we lost 2 great guitarists/musicians in 1970, Hendrix being the other. But what an unbelievably humble man Peter was. Thank you so much for the music, it touches my soul!

I met Howlin WOlf and his band in 1975. I went up to his guitar player, Hubert Sumlin, to ask him about a few things he was doing on guitar, and he kindly showed me. At least one of his front teeth was knoecked out.

Maybe the incident with LSD is accurate, but was the man insane to want to break with commercialism, with hype, and, to be frank, with lesser musicians? He obviously went through hell, but I think he saw some truths that few of us do. Remarkable fellow. Great, great guitar player.

Man, that was sweet. Some musician friends say to me they really don't care for Peter's post Mac stuff, they'd rather remember him the way he was at his peak, but I feel just the opposite. I like following the complete journey. Peter strikes me as a real survivor. And I really enjoy his new beginning at a different level. It gives me strength to see his strength. Thank you so much, Peter. May you rest in eternal Peace. ❤

@@splinterlife1969 And many thanks to you as well. It was intimate footage I'd never scene before. A real glimpse of the man himself. And so nice to see him smile, joke around and enjoy the moment. Far different than the standard dour, misleading and mournful narrative. A taste of reality. Cheers.

What's comes across is how much more relaxed they are in rehearsals. Which gives it a slightly looser groove and feel in some ways. Like they are enjoying it more. IMO. Cool upload thanks.
