my favorite gwimbly moments are the gwimbly happy meal his cameo appearance in ready player one gwimbly odyssey gwimbly and crash at the Olympics the classic 90’s gwimbly cartoon his appearance in the Marcy thanksgiving day parade the gwimbly ride at universal studios and the gwimbly movie (Eddie Murphy was a perfect choice for gwimbly’s voice)

Do not learn a programming language for months if you just need to know it for your game. It's best if you can also use that knowledge for your work outside of game development. Otherwise it's a complete waste of time. Do not start working on a bigger game project if you don't want to play it by yourself and only by yourself. Because chances are high that even your closest friends wont play it more than a couple of times at best. Don't expect that your game will even have more than 50 downloads. Most indie titles don't even reach that. Theres a 99% chance that NOBODY on the internet even notices your game in the first place. You are no exception, you are not better. Most devs put their heart, tears and sweat into their project of pure passion - over years - and still, 99% make not a single dollar. It's a very bad time to create games. It's a very good time to create games. Nothing has changed, the indie industry was always pure luck. Do not expect anything from it. Create games as a hobby. DO NOT QUIT YOUR CURRENT, STABLE JOB FOR IT!

I grew up playing Gwimbly 64 with my uncle when I was little, it's actually what inspired me to want ot become a game dev.

As someone who is completely new to game dev I am using or wanting to use rpg maker mz and I also have the English translated version of wolf rpg editor because I love the strange men series but I don't plan on doing any combat focused ones since I want to do a horror/story approach and for examples i will say the crooked man or any strange men series game, corpse party, mad father or even like paper lily but I have no idea where to start and I also have rpg maker xp {because the bundle that had mz and xp was actually cheaper then mz by itself} and rpg maker vx ace was completely free but tell me if these are good choices for these style games but if anything I'm super interested in MZ and RPG wolf editor the most and rpg wolf has that style that I absolutely loved in the strange men series but I need advice on where to start I've been watching a few videos and there great tutorials but any advice or even opinions would be great on what I plan to do since I'm a complete newbie and I have no idea how to program which is another reason why I chose this but my main reason is because I love rpg maker games and I'm sorry this is quite long but I wanted to get this out.

Hey man, I’m interested into game development. The project im working on is a ghost of Tsushima inspired gameplay but with a Chinese scroll inspired art style. What do you recommend for me to do to gather a team who would share this vision?

You could also drop a comment under a video of youtuber with around 36.000 subs and hope someone notices and have a look at the game you're currently working on! Hi, I'm MAWO the developer of "Arcade Space Survivor" - an arcade-style, survivors-like game. I'd really appreciate any wishlists! <3 :) (currently at 98 wishlists).

Thor said: In blizzard they overwork the sh!t out of their employees with minimum wages, it's hell
@iconoclastic2310 күн бұрын
I believe it's due to something called passion exploitation. Blizzard had such a high reputation in the community at that time that working there was very prestigious and lots of people were passionate about being part of the team that made such amazing and memorable games. Those who are passionate about a job tend to be willing to do it for less money, otherwise they never get the job because they're competing directly against equally passionate people who ARE willing to do it for less money. That's why my advice to younger people entering the workforce is to find a boring, stable job that no kid ever fantasized about doing when they're older.
@kamm302110 күн бұрын
Yeah boring and stable is acceptable as long as it has normal weekly hours and good income
@anonymous4912510 күн бұрын
to be fair he was just a game tester (and I think moderator, by some tellings). QA always gets exploited, but to be fair, you can go home at the end of the day and not stress about deadlines... so you get to paid accordingly. Not just a blizzard thing, but pretty much an everywhere thing.
@ultimaxkom87285 күн бұрын
It is of no wonder since QA testers and mods are not irreplaceable essentials. Also, I'd say that the testing of AAA with established player base is not that high in priority nor entry when compared to all other roles.

I want to see indie games make more 3d games and have normal working hours. Hope its possible for them one day. I like your game castlemancer but had the idea of cards as well because its comparitively easier to make and can also be fun. But i feel when there is a multiplayer game like aoe2 it would have been more fun but i think it would need a team and more money maybe.

I'd say start learning now if you can. Practice art, watch / read guides on game art, programming, and game development. That way when you do get your hands on a pc you have a headstart and can hit the ground running! Its a very intimidating thing to get into, don't get discouraged if you hit roadblocks or it gets hard. It's all accumulative so the more you learn the easier things get and you'd be shocked at how quickly you can get things working with a little bit of practice and knowledge. Good luck! 😁

@ByteOfMichael I am sorry, I know you are so busy. But I really likes your KZbin videos. Can you please make, and upload a Godot KZbin video, on how to make Megaman maverick hunter x, Megaman battle network, or Megaman like game, and 2D Pokémom or digimon games with evolution or transformation on them. And a Dragon ball Z 2D game with a great ape transformation on it, and a martial art or a combat 2d multilayer game, card yu gi oh game, and other types and genres of games. If you can please make a video tutorials on how to make at least some of these games using Godot and, GDscript, I will deeply appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I am specially intersted in megaman. And Pokémon.
