I love this goal mindset ideas . Having smart goals is very important as we work towards progress and cut back on expenses each month for sure . I have learnt that some spending is pretty much unnecessary.
@anotherdayinlove2 күн бұрын
I'm glad you like it❤️And yes, if we look hard enough, we'll almost always find unnecessary spending somewhere.

In the Caribbean what does it mean to allow children to be children? This hit deep and it's a conversation that's ppl need to talk about.When I look back I know that I wasn't allowed to be a child . That affected my adulthood.
@anotherdayinloveАй бұрын
- Teaching children to be responsible without overwhelming them with the responsibility of taking care of the family. - Allowing them to engage in age-appropriate play - Protecting their tender minds from an oversexualized world, so that they grow up with a healthy view of intimacy and sex - Not allowing children to participate in/overhear "adult" conversations ....and the list goes on. That topic deserves a video to itself!! You and I may need to sit down and do a video on this one😊
@insidejodiskitchen9002Ай бұрын
This episode was very triggering- brought up a lot of emotions, but it needs the light. Jamaica is a very traumatic society. I’ve always said if I was there, I wouldn’t have children. Stockholms is definitely real.
@anotherdayinloveАй бұрын
Bwoy, oh bwoy...this is certainly a tough topic to address😢 And I get where you are coming from. It's hard to bring children into this world if you feel like you can't protect them. And in a society where we sweep these issues under the rug and keep things on the down-low, our children will suffer in silence.

Dear one, I couldn’t post a comment on Max and Julie’s video of the loss of their children and I thought to post here. What a beautiful lovely couple and my heart breaks for them. I know all too well the pain of losing a child as it will be 1 year on May 23rd that I lost my 18yr old firstborn boy. Their testimony helped me so much. Indeed we have a wonderful Heavenly Father as dear Max stated so well. Praise be to God. Thank you for that precious video ❤ God bless you dear.

I know what I want. I just don’t know how to get there. As a person with undiagnosed ADHD, it’s definitely hard to manage money because of the numerous hobbies and activities that catches my attention 😅. The lack of accountability will definitely drive you down hill.
@anotherdayinlove2 ай бұрын
I get that! I think more people struggle with this than you might realize. I would say, there's nothing wrong with having different hobbies and exploring but we just have to budget around it. So before we go off and start funding our new hobby we wait a while, make sure there is room for it in the budget and then we proceed. It's all about PRACTICE.

I like what you said about identifying goals. If you and your partner are regularly disagreeing/stressed about a topic, then you spend some time identifying the root cause and making goals around it. Using your example of the car repairs, if you are constantly facing unexpected repair costs on your car, maybe a worthy short term goals is buying a new vehicle.

Exactly! There isn't one way to do it. But usually there is a better way and we just have to figure out what it is together.

I just found your channel and watched several of your podcasts. Great content. I’ve been married decades now but this is all good advice! Happily subscribed. I also - several years ago - also had my then teen age kids take the quiz to get their love language. It’s really helpful for all the family to get in on this. Doesn’t cure everything certainly, but helps smooth out some rough spots.

I love the first point about getting to know someone is more than asking them questions about themselves. You touched on the fact that "actions speak louder than words"; that in the courting phase, everyone is on their best behavior; and that others can tell us a lot about someone too. In accounting/auditing, external evidence preferred over internal evidence. For example, if a client says they have $1,000,000 in the bank, but their bank says they have only $900,000, the auditors will go with what the bank says because the bank has no incentive to "cook the books". The same good be applied to dating. Of course, someone's character is a lot more subjective than a bank balance (and other people may not be aware of all the circumstances and nuances of your potential partner's life), but it's something to keep in mind.

It's a journey filled with emotional damages and struggles. And if they're only happiness then you're not truly happy. You're damaged emotionally so you tell yourself you're happy and it becomes your reality....
