For the cost to buy a comparable smoker you can buy a welder and all the tools , materials ect and have enough cash left over for beer meat and wood 😅 nice build..!

Or should I make the fire exit from the side of the oven?
@حيدرهاشم-و4جАй бұрын
Peace be upon you, my dear brother. Dear brother, if we make the air outlet via the tube from above, will the heating efficiency not be good? Why are there ovens with air and fire outlets from the side of the oven structure from above? And few people make the air outlet tube at the top of the oven next to the crucible? If the tube is from above next to the crucible, will the heating chamber be sufficient to melt the metal with good efficiency?

@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio I got the same tank and have decided I’m gonna go ahead and turn her into a smoker. I got everything pulled off and opened up the main body. It’s been empty for years, as I filled it with each bubble it smelt strong of the odorant, even still as it is here full of water it smells super strong. Should I be concerned about this or is she good to go ahead and cut her top open? Thanks bud

I don't need precision cuts or a lot of them. I am using a standard ren inch miter saw with a DeWalt abrasive wheel. I'm cutting sixteen gauge stainless plate. Is there a problem doing it that way that I'm not aware of? Any more dangerous? I know they say abrasive wheels can 'explode', but I have never had an issue with that.'

Wow.... This is incredible. I can tell you with certainty that there is currently a niche market where a design such as THIS could solve a problem that is becoming more and more common. For BIG single throttle body 'Single Butterfly' units (in the 100mm +/- range, both DBC & DBW), there seems to be a specific limitation that is leading to failure and at times, catastrophic damage as well as extreme danger. Being an Engineer as talented as you are, I am very certain that you may know exactly what specific limitation/danger/failure-point that I am referring to, with the aforementioned 'big-single-butterfly' throttle bodies. Currently, the common fix is to simply use either 2 smaller round throttle bodies (more failure points), or to run an oversized Oval twin-blade, which creates plumbing problems of it's own, so not very elegant either way. THIS is the market that you should focus on, as well as finding a way to 'protect' your intellectual property from would-be thieves. Hopefully you understand what I am saying. I'll check back just in case.

Just as flour is an ingredient in a cake, cement is an ingredient in concrete. Cement is what binds sand, water and aggregate (stones), and occasionally fly ash, coloring, etc. into concrete. What you are using is concrete, not cement. You would not say "I'm baking a flour", you would say "I'm baking a cake". You should call it concrete, not cement. They are not interchangeable. Just FYI. Nice project, though.
