I use base plate 6. Doesn't matter how much growth I have. It's so smooth on every plate and is near impossible to cut yourself with it.

Just ordered the Parker solo as my local barber's gave me a pack of 100 blades

Interesting take on the Feather. The AS-D2 was my first safety razor and I still use it on occasion, but for me it is so mild that it is almost like a butterknife. Perhaps my angle is poor. That being said, I shave frequently, and most of the time, I'm just trying to shave off stubble. Maybe the opening on the Feather can't reach the stubble.

I'm so glad I got this razor for Christmas, best razor ever! Perfect all around and I didn't even have to struggle to find the correct angle, no nicks, no irritation (not even on the neck), wonderful razor and would recommend even for a beginner! Happy New Year to you Ken! EDIT: I use a 4 or 5 plate and I use astra blades, and I usually shave every 2 days.

I use the Rockwell 6S plate #2, not as close a shave on the 1st pass as plate #3 but I find plate #2 a more comfortable shave that gets all the whiskers in 3 passes. Happy New Years!🍻🍺🍻🍷🍸🥂🥃

I love my 6S. It basically lives with plate 4 attached. Out of all the razors I own, it's the only one I can use a Feather in comfortably.

A&E soaps work so well, but are also nicely fragranced. My den always fills with the scent of the soap and his splashes also last a long time. My go to on the Rockwell is always a 3, shaves so smoothly. It’s a razor I can put it on autopilot and mindlessly shave and get a BBS. Great shave!

Happy New Year Ken! My Rockwell 6S stainless is my go to razor. I'm sure the 6C is a decent option, but as someone that actually works in the steel industry, I can say that stainless far exceeds chrome played pot metal when it comes to corrosion resistance. Chrome plated is OK if the chrome never gets dinged. I go with #4 plate, and Shark chrome platinum, Astra green, or Wilkinson Sword for the blades. Favorite soap is TOBS Peppermint. Fine Acoutrements Blue, American Blend, and Platinum are excellent.

Plate 3 for me!

Great shave with the 6C and one of my favorite blades. My go-to DE razor is the 6S. I use the R4 plate on my first two passes and flip to the R2 plate for pass 3 and pickups. Enjoy your getaway and Happy New Year!

I have the same razor. The Willy's blades are actually very good. I'm spoiled using my Rex Konsul so the Pearl Semi Slant isn't my favorite. It's great for the money though. I use it for a travel razor.

Mr ken it really brings me joy when I see you have a new video. I don’t shave my face at all because I love my beard but I do shave my head because I am thin up top but I love watching your shaves. Such a nice and respectful man. Keep up the great worth. Another thing I like is when you mention west Monroe because I live northeast of there just over a hour. My niece is going to the college in Monroe to be a nurse.

The 6s with plate #5 is my fav. 60% of my soap collection is A&E I'd own them all if my wife wouldn't divorce me. I'm slowly acquiring more though. Shhhhhhh!!
