I love my black beauty, it's so smooth at any setting. I have only 5 razors; all of them vintage Gillettes: a 1918 Khaki set, a Tech from somewhere between 1939 and 1947 (?), a 1954 Super speed flair tip, a 1969 travel Tech with the comically short handle and my birth razor, a 1975 long handle Black Beauty.

I have 3 Fat boys in my birth year and 4 in random years, 7 Slim adjustable, a 1918 open comb, 1920s open come ball end. a 1930s New and the New Improved, a 1940s Gold Fat Handle Tech, 1953 Ball End Tech, 1953 Super Speed, a 1955 Red tip, 1956 silver tip and a 57 Blue tip, a 1969 Knack and the 1970 109mm and 89mm Super Adjustable aka (Black Beauty) and my 1977 Atra.

Hi Ken, I have four Gillette super adjustable(black beauties). And two Superspeeds that belonged to my grandfather. I enjoy the nostalgia of owning vintage razors. I also enjoy shaving with my 34C and my Parker variant.

I agree with another guy on here. I never understood why people buy multiple brushes 🤔

I used my r41 today Not a single problem no irritation or anything it’s an awesome razor I use a very light touch and let it do the work.

I love the brush & mug shaving soap with my favorite razor. I’ve come full circle back to Old Spice to!

Whats a good blade not too sharp but good i used proof but i used feather and got irritation on my lips upper i rhink my blades were too sharp and needed to level down ive been eye balling that stelter one

Howdy Ken. Great video as always. I only have one vintage razor, a Gillette Blue Tip Super Speed (date code of D2 , my birth quarter) that's been given the Prospector treatment by Rex Supply. It gives very good shaves, but I only pull it out on special occasions. I have three other modern razors that I like better as "daily drivers". Keep 'em coming, Bro'! Have a great weekend.

I was born in 1984 so it's quite hard to find a birth year razor. But I have managed to find 4 so far. Just haven't managed to get a birth quarter yet. Need an E2 second quarter to be birth quarter.

I’ve got four vintage Gillette adjustable razors that I rotate as my daily drivers including a 1972 Black Beauty which I use as a travel razor.

I've been using Schick Quattro since 2008 nothing else . Originally released in 2003 . The 4 blade titanium cartridges just work for me . Yes a bowl of hot water is imperative to open the pores for a comfortable effective shave 🪒.

Gillette Silver Blue is my go to blade. Great video.😊

Looking good, Ken. The Old Spice & the black adjustable razor were perhaps my first shaving experience from about 1972. What's more, those Gillette shavers were about $1.79 everywhere! Seems kinda like yesterday, too...

I have a short black beauty that is easily my favorite razor and gives the best shave with the Treet carbon blades. I have a Fatboy as well but it just doesn't compare to the black beauty as far as a quality shave. Great video and thanks for making the videos!

I have a Gillette Slim 1964, Fatboy 1959 in Rhodium from Razor Emporium and another Fatboy 1959 that needs a tuneup. The last one is a future present for my dad.

I was born November 1968. I have a N4 Slim adjustable and a N4 flair tip super speed.

Thnx Ken, W3 on the 109 couldn’t put it down got it damaged on 1-door the rest was like out of the box. Sent to Razor Emporium for door replace about 5yrs ago used few x & put up. Next found Super84(preference) on EBay picked it up been enjoying it ever since. Love that nickel plated brass it is so durable & forgiving. One more thing when sanitizing the 84 ran q-tip between trays & no soap film @all. Looked like it had been used blade removed, thrown in drawer. Spent nearly 30min.ploughing it w/cloth looks new. The best👌

Great shave. I love the Gillette Silver Blue blades. They’re very sharp and smooth for me. My skin didn’t like them at first, but now these have worked very well for me. Have a good one!

Great vintage shave. I have sold some off but I currently have 4. Birth year Superspeed, Fatboy, red tip, NEW. If I had to pick 1 it would be the Fatboy. Great weight balance, easy grip with adjustability.

Ken great shave as always. I think the all metal head version you're using there was the best version. They made a later version with a plastic baseplate. Great balance between solid head and light handle

Just wondering Ken, I try to watch all of your shaves, but I do not think I have ever seen you use an Alum Block. Do you use one or do you feel like they are not really necessary? Thanks for your videos. 😊

My favorite in my collection are the 1966 (my Birth year), 1919 (my dad's birth year, 1945 (post war my dad was in WWII). Great video!

What an enjoyable vintage shave! I really like the Gillette Pure shaving cream. I was lucky to buy 3 tubes when I found out it had been discontinued. I'm with you on the classics. Old Spice, Skin Bracer, Aqua Velva, English Leather, Brut, and British Sterling bring back so many nostalgic memories.

I have quite a collection now from Superspeeds, Flare Tips in all three styles, Fatboys, Slims, Super Adjustables, black handle Flair Tips. I had a really good converstion with a fellow teacher the other day about it as he was using a DE razor but ran out of blades and wasn't sure where to get them, so he went back to a cartrige razor and cut himself badly. He's probably 15 years younger than me and he said he never had anyone to talk to about shaving when he was growing up. I gave him some of my different blades to try out.
