How was getting the knife back across the border? Fear of getting caught? Would you be in a car with your parents I assume and nobody would bring up the knife? I wonder how many were caught at the border and what the agents would do. I'd guess just confiscate the knife. Unfortunately still not legal in California due to blade length!

Hey Ken, love your content. Would be cool if, one of these days, you could make a video comparing the vintage Sensor Excel and the Astra. Recently I spent almost 90 dollars in a new-old stock Contour Plus (which I think is almost the same as the Astra with a full metallic handle) because my first ever razor was a beaten up Contour Plus I inherited from my father, then switched to Mach 3 (which is quite nice but blades are overly expensive and can't always get "aftermarket" cartridges on the supermarkets) and I would like to know if worths it to spend 60 dollars or more in a vintage Sensor Excel or not. I use safety razors too but most days you just don't have the time to do it properly - especially when it is 4 or 5 am and you have to go work - and cartridges are the way to go. Thank you very much.

I’ll try. This new model and old model take that new and old blades. The vintage handle is pretty cool though. Keep an eye out for a good price. They pop up sometimes on eBay

Ken, I just picked up Wilkinson Sword made in India blades and I am shocked they shave smoother than the Wilkinson German classic blades. I used it with a Dovo Primo II safety razor for the one of the best shaves. You should buy a Dovo Primo II and it is a good buy at 50$. I can almost achieve bbs shave on 1 pass withat razor and blade combo.

Nice, close shave. I'm impressed that you shaved on setting 3. I find the Rex Ambassador a bit aggressive on 3 with the positive blade exposure. But you managed with nary a weeper. Good to hear everyone has recovered from COVID.

@@mattpisarcik5865 I'm just not too fond of the positive blade exposure unless dialed to 1 or 1.5. I can go higher with 2-3 days of growth for pass 1 and finish the shave at setting 1.

That is good to hear, I have a tuck of them coming Monday. I was a little gunny on ordering a entire box. I use Kai blades in my Rex "Envoy" and they suit me just fine. Looking forward to the Rex Platinum blades in my Envoy. Peace!

@@mattpisarcik5865 No branding is fine with me if they didn't have any. I use black appliance paint to mark one side of my Kai blade so I can flip the blade after each shave and know which side is which. Looking forward to getting the tuck I ordered on Monday. Peace! -Everett

I usually take it right out of the packaging and shave for the first time with it on camera. That way if it goofs up or works perfect. The first time use should tell👍👍
