For honor is the only game i have and prolly will ever preorder and have played on and off for years with multiple accounts. My most reacent account got to rep 25ish Lawbringer and watched them take all the cool things he could do and give it to everyone else. When Griffon came out i quit. He was literally just a better lawbringer and it sent me. The balance of new characters to old characters is tipped HEAVILY. Sohei has a one shot move that they took away from shugoki bc everyone hated it. Griffon gets armor on his shove when lawbringer lost it years ago. Pirate and Warmongers sidestep attack is by far the best side step attacks in the game. The charging of bash attacks and being able to faint them should be apllied to conquerer and law and prolly a few others that im not aware of. My biggest gripe ab the game is the characters imbalance.

My issue is hyper armor existing on an assassin.

I think the points you made on deflects was uncalled for, deflects are NOT punish damage, additionally deflects are not forced. If you are facing an enemy with hyper armour you should 50/50 your deflects the same way you 50/50 an unblockable

Shaman is still the most annoying hero to fight against

The thing about the game is if you play the campaign you will learn about the zone attack from the knights story

its kind of funny how the severely outdated campaign somehow does a better job at being a tutorial then the actual purpose made tutorial

I bought this game two days ago with ZERO expectations and knew nothing about it. Well aside from people saying it has a highly toxic community. But it was on sale and I went for it. I can definitely see your frustration about the tutorial and its lack of nuance on its own mechanics. As well as its improper portrayal of how players actually play the game. I personally wouldn’t know I’ve only done four duels albeit I was playing as black prior and my opponents were three orochis and one peace keeper. During those matches I had a lot of “I can do that?!” Moments as well as “okay, what the hell did I just do?” I did go through the hero tactics with the majority of the cast and found it serviceable. But I think the issue falls back on not being a fuller representation of an actual fight. As well as being kind of an information dump. From what I’ve gathered so far is that For Honor is game with a really high skill ceiling. The climb to that level of skill requires a lot of trial and error AND willing to learn from your mistakes. Overall I think the game is fun, and even though I won my four duels I know for sure that it’s only gonna get worse before it gets better.

smurfing is gay so many ppl do it on for honor now and them same ppl rage quit if you destroy them. they need to sort out all the rage quitters too like more than half the player base on the game does it

Lawbringer was genuinely at his best for me the month before his first rework. He has suoer fast animations on his dodge bash and opener bash making him able to do pre warlord style openers. He still had impale and stam drain so he could keep attackers well at bay, and the zone was so recoverable that you could oarry dodge attacks from it if you timed it right. His damage, opener, and dodge moves were solid on top of having OP parry punishes, what a time to play😂 Sadly the rework took a lot of this and standardisation for bashes took the rest

I uninstalled the game when they reworked the Centurion i was maining at the time. He became stronger and better but idk he lost his charm to me so i didn't find a character that sticks to me and quit. Maybe i will come back to play the Warden

For honor is even worse than destiny for new players and thats saying something. No new player wants to get 100-0 ganked, feinted at constantly, gbed multiple times a fight, and parried. For people that have been playing for 8 years, its easy to throw out terms like candy, saying how easy it is to parry, or counter gb, or feint, or use mixups, or any other inane FH lingo. For the average new player, its hard to give a damn about even a single one of those mechanics when the game itself isnt fun at all. Zanny put out a video recently with mr fruit and aztecross, and just watching aztecross trying to play is a great example of the new player experience. Its so unfun and broken that its hard to even care about playing. The game itself basically tells you to go away. Even playing with friends, laughing it up, joking around. The game is a fucking slog from start to uninstall.

This game is complete garbage for new players.

Legit nothing more annoying then a new player in any game skipping a tutorial and then asking you how to do things that the tutorial would have taught them.

can't they give conq a dmg buff, you are hitting the enemies with a damn pool noodle and maybe hyper armor, why do vikings with 0 armor have hyper armor. Also bring back the superior block heavies they were unique to conq :(

As a newish player I found the best way to get better is to find every hero’s rhythm.

Man, I remember fighting 4 Shaolin and using the Hands On Approach for lawbringer never felt so good especially when getting tanked by all of them

The things it took me awhile to learn: 1.) Not all heavies are the same. Depending on the character, only a side or top heavy is guaranteed on GB. The other can be blocked. 2.) Dodge attack parries are considered light parries and therefore confirm a heavy attack. 3.) Dodges can be punished with a confirmed GB if timed correctly. 4.) Some characters missed attacks/bashes can be punished with a confirmed GB depending on their recovery time. 5.) Game never teaches which heroes have, or the difference between, Unblockable, Uninterruptable, and Undodgeable attacks. You must seek that information yourself. Side Note: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, TEACH PLAYERS YOU CAN GB HITOKIRI OUT OF EXECUTIONS. STOP TRYING TO USELESSLY BEAT HITO INTO SUBMISSION WHILE WATCHING YOUR TEAMMATE HAVE AN AXE DROPPED ON THIER HEAD… thank you! 😊
