I’ve got a crested gecko and having alot of ants invading his cage. I’ve tried everything to get rid of them. But they come for his food and in his bowl not just a few alot and I’ve had the house spayed and tried ant baits and other stuff. And nothing works at all. I’m worworried it’s going to hurt my gecko. Do you think this would work for this or what else I can do

For sure, scrape a little culture out before you do that and that will save them.

Can you use pass-through with AC charging only. In other words can I plug the unit into the wall inside a house and plug my fridge into the battery and just leave it like that continuously forever so if the power goes out while I'm away the Frigidaire can continue running and then when the electricity comes on it will continue to charge the battery.
@MysticOwl15Homestead4 ай бұрын
Yes you can sure do that.

I found this video while searching for ways to get rid of ants from my own viv. Sad that this kills the cleanup crew, but a much better alternative than having to replace all the substrate :(

I still had some of my cleanup crew survive. They are all over the wood so you'll be surprised.

@@MysticOwl15Homestead I’m not able to get all of the plants out of my terrarium as some have rooted down through the rock layer.. my bioactive tank has been established for years (housing a crested gecko) and the ants showed up overnight.. @ So will this method kill the pothos and bamboo that I’m not able to remove? Thanks for sharing this info! I’m dreading taking this thing apart if I can’t get rid of the ants.

@FlatEric-c3k Жыл бұрын
So what exactly is a "soft start" can anybody expand the terminology please. thanks.
@MysticOwl15Homestead Жыл бұрын
A soft start is a device that limits the initial current of electricity when an AC unit starts up. It reduces the strain on the motor and decreases the spike in amps that occurs when the AC starts up. There for increasing the life span as well. Hope this helps.

I love this method for short-term builds! It will not last forever, only a few years before needing replacement. So for those of you considering bamboo as a structural element for home building, you can use the boric acid treatment or "pickle" your bamboo in salt water for a month, which is also how ancient peoples did it naturally!
@sandeepabandara6341 Жыл бұрын
Hi dear i need to know about treatment using salt can you how to do it..
@MysticOwl15Homestead Жыл бұрын
The bamboo is submerged in the ocean or salt mixture for 30 days - 3 months to allow the fibers to absorb the salt solution and release the sugary sap from the parenchyma within the bamboo. Hope this helps -Dutch

Hi @MysticMountainHomestead. I checked my Bluetti AC200MAX if it has a "real" pass-through function on the charging through AC wall charger and the answer is NO, IT HASN'T. When the battery is charged to 100% and Bluetti is connected to the AC wall charger, it uses 0W from the charger but provides output power. When the battery drops to 99% it uses an AC wall charger only to charge the battery to 100% again, not to provide pass-through power output. Could you please check if the same behavior is true for PV input? Does it use PV input only to charge the battery to 100% or it is charging the battery plus pass-through power to the AC output? Thanks in advance!

@MysticOwl15Homestead Жыл бұрын
Put a small amount of water at the bottom of the pot you are using to render the fat. Just enough to cover the bottom. This prevents the fat from browning as we begin to heat it up.

Hey, I just got a D050S to help recharging my AC200MAX, which is connected to two solar panels in series all the time. The D050S has its own solar panel. I noticed a clicking (relay on/off switching) after adding the D050S at Sunset time. Do you have your D050S connected to your AC200MAX all the time (and do you hear any clicking continuously at Sunset or Sunrise)? Thanks for any reply...

The solar controller also needs a lot of wattage to charge the device. In my opinion this is too high and a lot of solar energy is often lost because of this.
