They stated to me that all of their units will have to have a soft start. It's a good practice to even have a soft starter if you're using a gas generator as well. Soft starters will increase the lifespan of your generator. It causes less stress on the electrical load.

So we’re you running this thing as hard as it would go all the time? I have the BLUETTI EB200 (and another on the way). I have never had any issues with mine or I would refrained from purchasing a second one. Just for the record, my unit is very similar to the AC200P, only it has some minor differences and cosmetically it’s more like a beefier version of the EB70S. Anyways, I’m wondering if you were constantly maxing out your wattage or close to it for a long time. Which I guess that’s not an “excuse,” but it’s kind of like a car. Just because you can drive it with the pedal to the floor… doesn’t mean you should do that, especially all the time. I feel like I’m probably a bit softer on the demands I am placing on my devices, so I don’t foresee this being an issue for me.

A soft start is a device that limits the initial current of electricity when an AC unit starts up. It reduces the strain on the motor and decreases the spike in amps that occurs when the AC starts up. There for increasing the life span as well. Hope this helps.

Ac units can have a spike of around 2 x the rated running power on initial power up . The bluettie has capability to absorb some of this but if this initial spike is too big can cause errors and shut down. Installing a soft start on the ac compressor can get rid of the problem. My guess is a 2000w ac unit is going to need a soft start. Even if it doesn’t one should be installed to help protect the generator from these inital spikes

I got my AC300 and 1 B300, waiting on the tool cart that I am going to put it on, about the only thing strong enough. I see ebay sells refurbished B300's for $1429, as opposed to $2199 or $1899 on sale until 11/3. Are refurbished batteries as good as new batteries?
@MysticOwl15Homestead
@MysticOwl15Homestead Жыл бұрын
That is a wonderful question. Rebuilt batteries are engineered using working cells from old batteries, providing reliable performance but, these batteries don't offer the same level of performance and you usually won't get warranty protection as you would with brand-new batteries. Hope this helps.

@@MysticOwl15Homestead If I spliced an extension cord to the wire, which would run light fixtures in my breaker box for example, if I plugged 🔌 this into the generator, would that power the lights? It is after all, an electric current introduced into the wiring. Nothing that I would do unless there was no alternative, a hypothetical emergency, but if it would work, you could connect some house wiring to the generator, and have use of switches and household power outlets. I have the AC300 and 4 B300's. I don't think that this will run 240 volt things, but will run all the 120v things.

Hi there, hope u can help please.... when my B300 battery arrived it contained some juice already - which I've since used and its now empty. BUT how do I refill it? I can't get it to talk to my AC200MAX, and I have the connecting cable inserted properly (having checked that many times). So how do I get fresh solar juice into the B300? There doesn't appear to be any socket to directly attach my solar panels to it, and my AC200MAX won't communicate with it...., it could be useless or it could be me. I could charge via AC from my domestic plugs but what's the point in that? I bought it to obtain free solar, but what am I doing wrong? How do I get my AC200MAX to talk to it - I've tried various things..... also how do I get my panels to input juice to this B300, there's no socket in which to insert the panel cables? I can't even see the B300 when I switch on the Bluetti App, as opposed to tapping the screen. Would be SO grateful for your help.

Whats up sir, just swinging by to watch the video. So what should I deduce here, that you need a softstart for your AC? Also, man I struggle with over paneling but I get it. lol. 400 watts will likely give you like 320. with 120 being wasted, id much rather have 150 going into each from 2 200 watt arrays for a total of 300 actual watts. But thats just me, I know people have different reasons for over paneling.

Over panel my system by about 20% so that I can actually see the full rated power on my generator. I estimate Im not seeing about 50 watts during peak hours of the day. (Loss in addition to inefficiency). The cool part is I get more wattageThe morning & evening hours and during cloudy days. It more than makes up for the loss during peak hours. Design strategy and system capabilities also are a major consideration. Panel wattage Series / parallel circuits / system input voltage and cable size are all a factor
