Casual is just a nicer way of saying ppl who are not that good at the game....this dynamic exists in all sports and every competive game that exist, ppl are always having fun until they lose and then at that point its "just a game so relax bro" i e had this happen in basketball to overwatch, ppl who cant get good cry

reload should have multiple maps that reflect historical favorites. the map gets boring after awhile but its better than BR at the moment

God, I wish. I haven't played a single game of BR since Reload came out. I legitimately don't understand why a competent longtime player would still be playing BR, just don't see the appeal at all. I also don't really get the "Reload is boring" position. To each their own, but if you think Reload is boring, you don't really enjoy core Fortnite; you enjoy media tie-ins, things blowing up, loud music, gimmick bullshit, vehicles, the "story" (lmao) etc. etc. That kind of stuff has always been there to some degree, but the actual GAMEPLAY MECHANICS that make Fortnite Fortnite shine in Reload, where they can't be eclipsed by Epic's dumb bullshit of the week.

Well done to you for understanding that people play for different reasons and I’m inclined to agree that splitting the loot pool is a good idea. One thing I’d add though is that even casual players who don’t really care much about the result will still get a little joy from a win, so it’s possible to be a casual player that doesn’t really care but still enjoys it. The guy in the other video said that in other games players had to grind to get better etc, but what he doesn’t acknowledge is that in some games where casuals regularly get nuked they end up leaving the game which sucks for them and also for the game developers; games should accommodate all levels of players with better matchmaking.

As someone who doesn't care about winning or losing, I just go for what's the most fun to play with. I personally found the Wrecked season's cars extremely fun (particularly after EMPs were added in), but I can't stand the magneto gloves, Iron man gloves and all this War Machine stuff. Doesn't feel satisfying at all to use, and I don't think there's a point in winning if I'm resorting to using those items. With all that being said, I've no idea why anyone would hold some grudge over sweats lmao. Have a feeling they ain't really "casual".

I definitely like reload better, but not because of the nostalgia.. I've only been playing since April, so I don't know anything before that... If reload went solos, I'd play it more.. It's just guns, simple mobility and with the exception of some mythic weapons, it's mostly even... Skill vs skill... My skills aren't anywhere near yours, Jake.. But at least when I lose in reload, I know it's because I was mostly out played and I try to learn from it... I do still enjoy BR, but there's definitely a difference.. I can play BR, have 10 kills and get destroyed by someone with a full iron man load out with hover jets and I'm only their second kill with 3 people left... Looking forward to the live event this Saturday.. I no longer work on the weekends, so I'll definitely be on for that.. Thank you for the video Jake..

I think you've got it all wrong on the future OG season thing. Instead of doing the next year every year they should alternate and go back and forth from Chapter One to Chapter Two for at least 6 years. So that's OG Chapter 2 this year. OG Chapter One again in 2025. Then 2 again. Then 1 again. And then 2 again in 2028. And by then Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 could be considered to be old enough to be considered OG. Maybe. I probably still won't think that way. But some people will probably. So Chapter 3 could come in 2029 and then alternate with Chapter 4 for 6 years. Then maybe move on to Chapter 5 and the Chapter 6 we haven't seen yet after that. I think each season needs more time on the shelf for the nostalgia to build up before going back to it. And yes I know that by repeating Chapters; even in an alternating format, will cause some people to complain. I honestly think it would be great because I still wanna go back to Chapter One a lot of the time. Playing Zero Build back on that map last year was awesome. So this would completely wear out those feelings for most people more than likely and by the time the cycle is complete most people should be satisfied and ready for when it's Chapter 3 and Chapter 4's turn. lol.

Personally, I like reload for warm ups. The quick and consistent skirmishes help me get into the swing of things quicker than I would in ZB.

I play both but have really enjoyed playing reload more. More fights, less wait time between fights and matches, more balanced weapons, and more responsive gameplay, I prefer the bright colors and more simple graphics. It feels really frustrating to many times spend 10 -15 minutes getting in the game and looting only to die in my first fight to some op weapon. I bet I spend hours a month just waiting to get into the game, waiting on Spawn Island along with looting compared to the handful of fights i take per game. I feel like reload makes me a better player.

For me it’s the simplicity that makes me want to play Reload, I don’t care about the nostalgia, I just want to hop on and play a simpler shooter that I have a solid chance in rather than worrying about countering all the new stuff and the medallions that feels like more of a chore to play in BR tbh

I severely dislike Reload. The map is small. Gameplay is restricted (limited mobility). Not a lot of variety. Quickly loot and hunker down with teammates. Boring.

I think Reload’s popularity shows that simplicity is sometimes better for gameplay. Not everyone wants mythics that erase the skill gap. That’s the problem with the current season.

BR is just a Disney ran colab factory now. Reload can be fun in small doses but get's boring after five or so games. IMO. Fortnite is heading in a strange direction and It isn't for everyone.

Since Reload launched I only play that mode, mainly because I hate bs items in normal battle royale

I started fortnite only few months ago because of my son.. I still like playing BR, I complete story-/daily-/side-quests to gather XP and proceed with the battle pass.. But since I discovered the Reload, I found out, it's my kind of game. Simple, straightforward, basic quite realistic weapons without modifications, so you allways know, that opponent has the similar firepower as you have.. It's perfect for us, older guys 🙂 And after several games, you come across players who play team-game or have mic, so you build up a pool of friends you're comfortable playing with and no longer have to rely on randoms..

I played fortnite occasionally and stopped at chapter 2. I got back in revently towards the end of the car season and played that and the marvel season. I like fortnite but Ive mostly been playing reload and lego fortnite. Battle royale (zero build) is too broken for me to enjoy. Its just based on whoever finds the marvel weapons.

Reload is definitely a fun game mode but I can never play it for more than like 10 games cause of the lack of variety

100 percent am with the people that like simplicity in fortninte I think this current season is good but definitely hated the car meta season

My biggest issue with br is the bots...the lack of bots in reload is what's makes it more fun...I play both but I wish they would remove bots in br and maybe make rebooting faster aswell... usually endgame is dead in br

Reload is a nice reprieve from BR when a break is needed from the meta. I don’t see is overtaking BR. In the end you can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time but you can’t please all the people all the time.

Reload got boring after a week of its release. Its just a boring ch1 sweatfest in my experience. When i played it i was reminded how much i hate bloom on weapons. Ive lost count on how many times i have died due to random bloom on weapons back in day. Honestly, regular br is way better and more fun. I prefer bullet drop over bloom. Atleast with bullet drop if i miss my shots i know its a skill issue on my part and not that some random bloom was not on my side.

I haven't been enjoying this season so I've been sticking to reload.

i feel like i am fortnites unicorn who loves and actively plays multiple game modes lol (but i dont buy many vbucks so they dont care about me 😅) - zero build br, zero build reload, a ton of Fortnite festival, creative maps like aim training. I never played Fortnite OG but Reload is a nice break from whatever crazy meta is at play in BR

It wouldn't do well, but I'd get a kick out of a reload that added all the broken stuff at once. Shockwave hammer vs infinity blade vs iron man vs kamehameha vs exotic maven vs spiderman gloves vs the Rock's MK7...

I’m not sure how it hasn’t already. I can’t believe how many people still play the big mag with the wack guns. Reloads og guns make the game more skill. The bullet drop guns just adds randomness to the game.

I feel like with the two map rotation for sure some people will prefer one map over the other. And I can definitely see them in a way dreading the map they don't like as much, and being disappointed they can't just jump back into the map they like, and potentially just stop playing for the day or stop playing reload for that moment. So I think it could reduce play time since you can't control which map you play. And not everyone wants to just wait or has the time for that. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'm sure they'll be looking closely at the numbers.
