In this video I talk about why I prefer to use the Thunder Burst SMG over the Combat AR In Fortnite Season 3. Both of these weapons are really good but it will really come down to your playstyle to determine which is best for you. Not that hot but for me Combat Smg still beats it, if you manage it's recoil it can even work as an AR at medium long range and totally melts at close range

It's always a hard choice for me, mostly because i don't want anyone to have it lol but i've been going with a thunder burst, this thing is so freaking good, melts people so quickly.

I like both, and sometimes I run both if I feel like it and get a sight I like on the combat. The burst of course is great for when you're moving and shooting or at closer to mid range. The combat I like to use with a sight and use for those moments when ads is best.

I think about it in terms of ammo types, what’s the best option for medium ammo, I still think that’s combat AR. Your videos are awesome btw, best educational channel for zero build.

My fav with controller is also thunderburst. A third choice I think is underrated for close and mid range is the pistol. Apart from the thunderburst I've had more success with the pistol than other weapons for close range. Thoughts?

W video Jake. I’ve been a fan of the Thunderburst all chapter 5. Can’t believe it’s still going strong and not been nerfed or vaulted. Maybe the best SMG since I’ve played the game (not that long, CH4S4). I think the combat SMG was very good but I think I’d take a burst over it.

In most games i tend to avoid burst fire weapons. I just don't generally care for them. That said, the thunderburst is pretty damn good.

Do you ever wonder what people say after doing pickaxe trick on them lol? For the ones who let me 250 them, I imagine them just going "HOW IS HE HITTING ME" for like 10 seconds straight But my favorite is ones who take like 40 damage, get out, get back in, take 40 more, get out get back in, and so on..

Ngl I wish they'd come out with like a Chaos game mode where all Weapons, Vehicles n Consumables are unvalued, I know there's Creative Mode Maps that are like this but it's not the same n while I loved the OG season it just wasn't enough I need a mode where we can play BR or ZB with all things unvalued 24/7 not just as an LTM etc..

all items unvaulted: Twin Mag AR + heisted accelerant shotgun + anything as 3rd item + consumable (2x slurp juice) + any mobility item (shockwave grenade launcher, the mythic one). You can replace twin mag ar with foundation's MK AR and the shotgun with mythic havoc pump. That's it, if you unvault everything people are going to stick with these 2 load outs.

I was wondering why I was so accurate when hip firing with a burst.. so it's aim assist.. thanks for the explanation. I didn't like the burst at all when it first got in the game but then I started using it in creative and now it's all I use. I even like it for long range with the proper attachments
