The complaints about the graphics are well-taken, but I think it's also worth pointing out that they're nailing some of the other important fundamentals. For one, I think the rain on the windshield is still quite good (certainly better than GT7), and the spray from the cars is really good (again, better than GT7). I'm a GT7 stan all the way but it'd be insincere to ignore those advantages.

That look is it concentration confusion or anger. They forgot to tell us how early this access is, still it's a bit of a joke, I'm enjoying the dry wether feel it's different I think it brings more skill to sim racing

The shaders and the lighting makes me wanna puke. With what Global Illumination does to a game not to mention the other well optimised lighting and shader features Unity and Unreal have, this is unacceptable in 2025. Thanks for the video. I wish we could see the fps during races. The footage looks like it's running at 40fps or so (except for the wipers), and the rain particles (on the road) look horrible.

When will windshield water effects from Driveclub become the norm in games? That game is now over 10 years old!

As much as I dislike some of the newer graphical "advancements" that some games overuse, like lens flare, making everything shiny, camera shake, various post processing effects, etc. I can't help but feel this game does look flat and basic, and might be better with some of those effects... If it makes up for that in gameplay then thats fine, like iracing. But I dont think it does tbh.

I know this is early access, but nearly every game that's come out after GT7 has only made me appreciate GT7s lighting more.

Maybe it's just me but the cars look like they are floating. Or at least not compressed into the ground as they should be.

With the Ryzen 5 5600 and RTX 2060 this thing suffers a lot. In high I was getting 32 fps with 10 cars in the track

Why does the development of AI in racing games seem to go backwards? I'd rather have them on rails again with decent pace instead of this mess.

This is not an early access release, it is a DEMO. These developers are releasing earlier and earlier just to get that money. It won’t be long before an early access will be a message saying “coming soon.” I will shelve it and check back in six months.
