It's supposed to do that connected to the brakes. So you can see if someone's trying to pass you. Not required on the straights flat out

With Full Gas you don`t need the rear view :-)

My best guess is that A) The Vibrations in the cabin are jiggling around some wires at certain frequencies or B) The battery harvesting and deployment is messing with things since it's a digital mirror
